hello to all system administrators of TF,
One is i just have a question about what i notice on how the thread is being send. i think that the reply post is only being send to the one who last post a message. that is why the thread information is not that much. di kaya mas maganda kung everytime na may mag post ng reply sa isang thread dapat isend to all address na nakapag post na don. doing that, the thread information will grow at naaalarm ang thread starter about the information being post.
Second, about the new rules being sent by mr. nick, i think that is too strick.
that is why it will not totally followed. remember this TF is free for all wanted
to join, means they can be able to post what they wanted to do. but i thin
there is a countermeasure on that. I think you cannot be strict on that because it will not be followed all the time. but if you will apply your strictness to your coding in this system it will be applied everytime. I think its time to change your coding now and apply your new rules on that. because the tools are there, that is why users are intend to use it. You are PHP right, I think you can apply some limitation on that. for example, you can make the beggining of a sentence capital automatically by applying some code on that. You know what I mean, you are professional and this system is good. GOOD LUCK!!

Kung gusto ng ibang posters na mag-subscribe sa thread (para makakuha din sila ng notification by email, kailangan nilang mag-subscribe on their own. Hindi pwedeng i-set ito automatically.

hi, for me di matatawag na strict ang set of new rules. marami na rin naman siguro tayong mga forum na napupuntahan and lahat sila ay may kanya kanyang unique rules or style. i believe there are reasons behind all of these changes ang mga Forum Leaders and we should respect it as a member. kasi di biro ang mag maintain ng forum (financially and technically) .
masasanayan din naman natin yan after a few days.
regards...;)

i said it was very strict to follow kasi alam mo naman karamihan sa atin
di marunong sumunod kahit ilang beses mo na sabihin eh ganun pa rin.
the problem also is when time lapsed makakalimutan na naman iyan.
how about for all new members, i think di nila babasahin iyong rules
na iyon dahil wala na time for that. so what i suggest is, lets the system
follow the rules, because it can be set technically. i think the moderators
know what i mean because we are in the same field of work. good luck!
can i make another suggestion? can you set directly, that when someone access
to the TF system, it will directly jump to all thread list he/she created so that
he can review all the details and post comments on the replies he recieved.
thank you veru much.

I don't think one should abolish the rules just because some people don't follow them.
What has to be done is to enforce the rules - and that's what the Mods are doing! :)
Imagine what would happen if people post nudity?
If everyone is saying F this F that?
Or if EVERYONE TYPED IN ALL CAPITALS? :(
There always has to be rules and we as members need to follow them.
Otherwise, TF is not for us. ;)

Hi Striver,
You are allowed to think that way, but I am also allowed to disagree-
Sorry but, not all Filipinos are like what you think - there are people who CAN follow rules-
specially the TF rules-
I think they are simple to follow, even a monkey can follow the guidelines... didn't you read, Nick said he will delete the functions in time- so that we won't use colors and all the other stuff?
Are you challenging the moderators of this site?
For us simple folks, I think, the moderators of this site have already done their best - and this site is working just fine for most of us.
I think the rules are simple- for those who can't follow- read and read until you understand.
;)
And as Dax says-
There always has to be rules and we as members need to follow them.
Otherwise, TF is not for us.

sorry! i'm not challenging the moderators of the TF or anyone here.
and im not against the rules of the TF, its good. this forum is also good
and very updated. what im telling is that, let the system follow some rules
you are imposing kasi it will be followed 100%. im also running this kind of forum
here in my place, and i impose some rules. at the beginning it will be followed.
but at the time lapse balik na naman sa dati. i think you will experience this kind
of stuff thats why you are adding some rules everytime. right?
sorry for the misunderstanding.
I understand your points, City rabbit and striver, and thanks for the comments, Dax, crister and Crispee.
I think all striver is saying is:
1. The rules are too strict to be followed by some people, i.e. there will always be people who will break these rules.
2. To prevent anyone breaking these rules (and to lessen our work), we could disable the font styles, colors, and size options in the message editor.
I agree with number 1 (just now, there were unacceptable stylings in the recent posts). We thought about doing number 2 but then, I thought maybe that's too harsh, although it surely would have eased our work.
For now all choices stay because:
1. Most rule violations occur because people haven't read the Rules and Guidelines. With gentle prodding (and reminders for them to read the rules), maybe they would change their ways.
2. Rules have exceptions. Rule: no color in posts. Exceptions: many posts in the Articles and Forum Announcements have colored letters.
Like I've said before, we have rules not because we like to dictate what people can and cannot do (that's actually work for us). We have these rules because we want to keep the order in this website, and make it acceptable for all members.
So right now, we'd just have to ask everyone to follow the rules. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
