END
During the last season of HBO’s Six Feet Under (http://distillingthoughts.b logspot.com/<a), life was aptly summarized in 4E’s. Everyone. Everywhere. Everything. Ends. No matter how you live your life, truth is, it will eventually end.
There was a time that I loathed happy endings, be it in movies, television shows or novels. I thought they were just sorts of fantasies existing in imaginations and dreams, or escapes to the real essence of life. Death is after all a topic no one wants, nor comfortable, to talk to.
Indeed, I don’t talk about death to anyone. In my quiet moments, lots of questions regarding it are being raised, yet no hints of answers. Scenarios of seeing any of my loved ones waving a permanent goodbye are very painful to foresee. Or leaving them without permission is also very hard. When will be my last sleep? Theirs? Fictional dialogues are not helping me either, they are increasing the stress level.
Funny that I do not like the way how death is avoided mostly in produced entertainments but I am too afraid to accept that it will soon come my way.
Weird.

Yes, nothing in this world will live for eternity(except the world itself).
But it's better to die with a cause than to die for nothing.
A cause that we could leave to our children as a legacy, for them to remember us and for the future to have a better world.:)

I'm not only afraid of the word DEATH,
but the true meaning of death itself,& how will I gonna die.
But nobody can stop or can control when your days end which is DEATH.
No one knows how & when we'll gonna die,we can only control how we LIVE.
But I think the most fearful thing is when you will not DIE.
That's really the weirdest thing.

perhaps one of the reason that i am afraid to die is that i am not yet spiritually mature

Yes they say people who are afraid of death are those who havent found thier purpose in life.,And as what youve said "Not spiritually matured of your beliefs in God"
Kase noong sobrang devoted ako sa pananampalataya ko noon,Ive never afraid to Die,then ngayong nandito na ako sa japan at diko na magawa ang mga ginagawa ko ng nasa pilipinas pa ako,at naisip ko ngayon about death, parang natakot na akong mamatay..
Kaya ngayon I'm trying to get back from where I was before..
Finding my True faith again, not just words but doing the action.

The only people that I know who are not afraid to die ay yung mga batang wala pang isip,

I can understand why people would be afraid of dying... it's normal and it's ok .For me personally though, I'm just not afraid of dying. If anything, death has taught me to live my life to the fullest, and be more appreciative of what I have...:)

At this point in time I would welcome death with open arms. The earlier, the better. I am not afraid to die, not after what I've learned about eternal life. Life here on earth is temporary. Revelation 21:3-4 says: "..."Look, the home of God is now among his people! God himself will be with them. He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever." One day, I'll be going home to join my Heavenly Father. :)
