yahoo Temperature in Shimizu, Shizuoka Prefecture, topped 30 C on Sunday, marking the so-called "day of real summer heat" for the first time this year, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. While temperatures rose to as high as 31.8 C in Shimizu, it reached 29.7 C in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, 28.7 C in Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture, and 28.3 C in Naze, Kagoshima Prefecture, the agency said.
