extension of tourist visa

Mga ka-tf, please help naman. Have a friend kasi ako who came to Japan on a 30 day tourist visa and it will expire in two weeks. The reason she stated was sightseeing but she's actually job hunting. Ako ang nag-invite sa kanya but she has provided all the necessary documents to show that she's financially capable to support her travel.

Has anyone here tried to apply for an extension of a tourist visa?

Iniisip ko ang reason ulit sightseeing or mas makakabuti ba kung may event shang pupuntahan like wedding, birthday, chuva para may valid excuse? ano kayang maganda?

Bakit 2 weeks ?di ba 3 months ang binibigay upon arrival ,iyon ang counting di ba?Kung 2 weeks lang at capable syang supotahan ang sarili at ganon ka rin if your documents is needed,pwede iyon.

im holding a specialist in humanities and international services visa but my friend who wish to extend her stay is a tourist.

i think 30 days for sight seeing is too much, at pag yon pa ang gagawin mong reason for her extension i think medyo magtataka na ang immigration officer. if her main purpose is job hunting, maybe she can put it on the letter that she have an interview for the following dates na ilalagay nya don. also if she can put the name of the company and the person in charge for that interview mas better, mas malaki ang chance na makakakuha sya ng extension.

other way around na makakuha sya ng extension is to visit some schools here. maybe you can put it in the letter as her reason which is to visit some campus here dahil interesado sya mag aral since sabi mo eh financially capable sya. maybe it can help.

Just wanted to share this po...
The Japanese embassy can grant his/her request to enter Japan depending on his/her reason(s), sponsor, and status in life po<power,big savings,for example>.
According in your post po hir, your friend requested to enter Japan for "sightseeing":confused:. MAYBE this is the reason why she`s just granted to stay hir for 2 weeks. She have had to write her personal reason in formal phrases po so Japan can gave her longer time to stay hir.
These are all based in my own researches and experienced po.

And about her, your friend`s visa extension, it will be best if she`ll request for a working visa...or let her explain her reason(s) why she wanted to extend her stay hir in Japan, and if possible, look for a company of her choice whose giving support in employer(s) visa...in this way she`ll be given easily a chance to work and stay here in a long period of time.

If your friend`s boyfriend is Japanese, she may have her "tourist" visa in one week from the time she had submitted her application and documents po. But still, it will depend on her document(s) or qualification(s). And it`ll be possible if she`ll write in her application that she and her boyfriend will be processing their marriage in Japan. She may failed to recieve a visa if she`ll write what you have written in this post esp. if her bf is a Filipino citizen; "She`s wanting to be with her boyfriend and will be going for a sightseeing".

My friends have already found employers who offer visa sponsorship. They'd be holding a specialist in humanities visa.

To those who want to work as English teachers in Japan, please don't be discouraged. This job is not only for native English speakers. My friends were able to find employers who accept non natives. Go, go, go Pinoy!

gumawa ka ng itinerary .. meaning make a plan for the trip you and your mom are going to take including information about when and where you will travel ... sabihin mo nagtratrabaho ka kamo kasi kaya naka~ schedule kamo yung pamamasyal nyo since hindi ka naman pwede mag yasumi ng matagal sa pinagtra~trabahuhan mo kaya sinisingit mo lang yung schedule ng pamamasyal nyo tuwing yasumi mo ...lagay mo din na may edad na nanay mo , baka hindi mo na sya ma invite ulit dahil mahihirapan ng mag byahe ng malayo ....kaya eto na lang yung chance . :)
