CNN The gunman who killed 30 people at Virginia Tech's Norris Hall before turning the gun on himself was student Cho Seung-Hui, university police Chief Wendell Flinchum said Tuesday. University officials said they were still trying to determine if Cho was responsible for an earlier shooting at a dormitory that left two dead.
However, Flinchum said ballistics tests show that one of the two guns recovered at Norris Hall was used at Norris and at the dorm.

I cant even imagine what the families are going through right now. It's appalling that the school didn't handle it the way they should have but, really, is anybody truly prepared for this type of thing? I used to think so...but after the past decade or so? Nobody is ever ready...

I was really touched by the news of the old Jewish professor who died while saving the lives of his students.

He ordered his students to jump out of the window to escape, but he remained to hold the door, finally to be killed by the gunman.

I believe his soul is now in heaven together with all the victims, and of course, the gunman is in hell, hopefully at the hottest and stinkiest place, to be perpetually tormented for the crime and sin he had committed.

The deranged a$$hole was a serious mental case. People who were often around Cho should've realized that something wasn't right about him. But unfortunately by the time they did notice, it was already too late.

Humans are dangerous, not guns. Take away the guns, then they will just find another means to carry out whatever evil acts they have in mind, while stripping off responsible citizens the right to defend themselves.

IMO, the VT tragedy goes beyond the gun control issues. We should dig deep to get to the root cause like how humans are driven to commit such unthinkable and nonsensical evil deeds.
