NTT East, West overcharge Internet connection users

yahoo Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corp. and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corp. said Friday they overcharged users of their Internet connection services by a total of 179 million yen. The two companies overcharged in a total of about 5,700 cases mostly when customers switched their Internet connection to fiber-optic cables from Integrated Services Digital Network lines or Asymmetric Digital Subscriber lines. I believe that I've made a good decision shifting to K-opticom hikari plus internet provider, plus IP telephone and I only have to pay around 5800Yen/month for everything.

Before I was using Flets for my hikari and ODN for my provider plus NTT for my house phone and adding up all the fees, my bills reached up to around 17000Yen /month (or more if I do international telephone calls). I rarely use the phone for international calls and thanks to the "wonderful world of internet" that I can talk with my buddies in any country using my computers (and for free :D)


NTT is good and fast but K-opticom is also good and fast also and I'm really very happy with their services. I'm a bit of a computer power user and I often hook up several of my homemade funky machines all in one time together and still the connection speed is very good. I'm able to download and upload huge files using three or up to five of my homemade sprinters without any problems and still can surf the web and work on my websites. Another big plus is my IP telephone. We don't really use the house phone much and we almost/only use it for fax because using the cellphone/portable phone is a lot more convenient and a lot more cheaper. The IP tel/fax machine works flawlessly even with the heavy usage of my computers.

To sum it up, my fees dropped more than double plus with some bits of extras!
K-opticom ROCKS and Flets sucks!

I admire them for this. unlike in our country.....
