asahi Japan will donate about 12 billion yen to a new fund aimed at helping developing countries implement energy-saving and other environmental protection measures in the battle against global warming, sources said. The Asian Development Bank will manage the fund. Finance Minister Koji Omi will announce plans to establish the fund at the ADB's 40th general meeting to be held from Sunday at the Kyoto International Conference Center. Read more...
