inquirer The Philippine peso strengthened to a six-year high on Tuesday, outperforming other Asian currencies amid talk that Standard & Poor's could soon upgrade the country's credit rating outlook. A local newspaper on Monday reported that S&P could announce an upgrade of its stable outlook when it releases the results of a sovereign debt review, most likely after congressional and local elections that take place next Monday.
