yahoo The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on Tuesday declared Japan a country free of avian influenza as three months have passed without any new outbreak since the latest disinfection procedures. The declaration, based on rules under the World Organization for Animal Health, known as OIE, allows Japan to resume chicken exports.
