:) Hello to everyone! :)

I live in the Yokohama prefecture. I teach English in Tokyo and I earn 420,000 en/month. And I was wondering if I could sponsor a very special friend to study here in JP.

Usually, in order for one to study here, he should have at least one 1st degree relative (eg. Parents, Brothers, Son) living in JP. Sadly, my friend have non at all.

We can open a joint-bank account. Would that help? Just to satisfy the requirement that the applicant should have at least 3,000,000.00 en in his bank account. But for the Income Tax Return, it's impossible. He only earns 7,000.00/month back there in the PH.

Please I need all the help I can get.

Correct me if I am wrong.. he can apply from tourist to student.......
it may be possible to do it inside Japan by applying for a "change of status of residence" (from tourist to student) at an immigration office. You better doubleckeck on tha latter:

as long as u have money...and he can afford .... there is no problem...

he needs to prove that he has enough money to finance himself
