im not sure if this thread is appropriate here,sorry....mods feel free to move kung saan nararapat.

gusto ko sanang kumuha ng test ng toeic or toefl.kase hindi tayo native english speakers and isa sa mga requirements sa company na inaaplayan ko ang certificate ng toeic or toefl.meron ba sa inyo nakakaalam kung paano at kung saan pwede mag inquire about this?any advice po sana...thank you in advance:)

hello neg,i try mo sa mga big bookstore dito,pwedeng mga inquire dun,may form silang ibibigay sa iyo at ipapaliwanag ang procedure ng pagkuha ng test...:)

Yes meron nga sa mga bookstore ng application Form ng TOEIC :)
Pwede rin dito sa internet :);) sa June 24 yung Test..... hanggang May 17 12pm na lng yung pasahan ng application form ...

ahhh....okay madami palang sked?so hindi ko pala kailangan magmadali kase totoo lang wala na rin me review.at hindi na rin me nag eenglish for how many years na rin.minsan tagalog nga nahahaluan pa ng nihonggo.sige sa july na lang ako magtetest or ask ko rin kung may iba pang sked na mas comfortable ako diba?akala ko kase tulad ng jlpt na once a year lang.naku thanks talaga aviationlady san.

Yah thats right,sa every book store at every english school like Nova,Aeon ,Minerva,,kahit saan pwede kang makakuha ng Toeic...Ang Toefl naman sa Tokyo ka lang pwedeng kumuha noon At mag-babayad ka ng 110usd dollar thru visa card,master card,tapos they will give you date at time para mag take ng test..Bring our passport with you at 2 klase ang test doon,written at computer test..Nakalimutan ko ang place sa tokyo,kung kailangan mo hahanapin ko ang address dahil nag-take ang anak kong panganay ng Toefl ,before studying sa states dahil isa sa requirement iyon pag student visa visa mo..

Dito sa Japan kalimitan na hinahanap nilang shikaku ay Eiken o kaya TOEIC :) Anyway, pareho lng namn po na English Test ang TOEIC at TOEFL ... ;)

Dito normally TOEIC lang ang tini-take ng mga Japs. It's not difficult (listening and reading lang), pero ang baba pa din ng score nila. Yung TOEFL me test pa of spoken english so mas mahirap sya. Kung gusto mong mas impressive ng konti TOEFL kunin mo. Good luck!

curious lang po....kung halimbawa 980 ang score na nakuha mo sa TOEIC, ano naman kaya ang equivalent nito sa TOEFL?

Ng mag take ang anak ko sa computer test 350 yata ang dapat mong makuhang score Sa awa ng dyos nakapasa ang anak ko,kaya doon sya nag-aral ng 2 yrs sa states.Student visa holding japanese passport..Ewan kokung nabago na iyon..3 years ago na kasi iyon eh.K

i passed the exam last year it's a CBT (computer based test) and it's valid for 2 years.scores more than two years old cannot be verified as what it says in their policy.they have the listening part, structure/writing/ reading and the essay part. check the infos below and try to inquire about toefl.i only reviewed the most common and basic grammars in english and it's applications so i think it won't be hard for u too...if others can do, u can also do it :) goodluck!

they are both English tests but they are very different.TOEIC is Test of English for International Communication English in everyday working activities (TOEIC) measures the ability of non-native English-speaking examinees to use English in everyday work activities while TOEFL is The Test of English as a Foreign Language evaluates the potential success of an individual to use and understand Standard American English at a college level. It is required for non-native applicants at many English-speaking colleges and universities.

by the way, the TOEFL has a speaking section while the TOEIC doesn't. believe me, there are many Japanese with a very high TOEIC score but can't even tell you how to buy a train ticket.
TOEIC was initially designed for Japanese. it is one of the benchmarks used in Japan to measure one's English speaking capability at work. I advise taking TOEIC especially if you're working for a Japanese company. (it's way cheaper too:D)
