Thanks for the replies. And yes, Yujin, tama po yung link na binigay mo. Here's more information about the Akita Pilgrimage.
The Akita Pilgrimage is a special program of the Philippine Pastoral Center (PPC), which came as an offshoot of the International Marian Symposium held in Akita in 1992. In response to the call to spread the messages of the Blessed Mother, the PPC (previous name Franciscan Philippine Center - FPC) held its first pilgrimage in May1993. To date, approximately SIX HUNDRED SIXTY (660) pilgrims from different nations have participated in the SEVENTEEN previous holy journeys. Dubbed as the second Fatima, the messages of the Blessed Mother of Akita have given the same profound spiritual experience to all the pilgrims.
You are invited to share in the same experience by joining the 18th Akita pilgrimage to honor Mary, the redemptrix and advocate of the Catholic Church.
Objectives of the Pilgrimage
V To let the pilgrim- participants experience the holy ambience of the very place where the blessed Mother Mary announced through Sr. Agnes Sasagawa the message of repentance and reconciliation in preparation for the era of peace.
V To allow the participants to experience a community united in faith, love and purpose, eager to listen to the invitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to follow and hear the Words of her Son;
V To spend this most precious time which each pilgrim sets aside to make an intimate communion with God, facilitated by individual and communal prayers, faith sharing, meditation of the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, contemplation on the Way of the Cross, meditation in front of the Holy Image of the Blessed Mother who talked to Sister Agnes; and enfleshing all these with love and fraternal sharing among the pilgrims.
Ø Assembly date, time & place: JUNE 29, 2007 (Friday) 7:00PM, Mikawadai Park, Roppongi, near Franciscan Chapel Center.
Estimated time of arrival in Tokyo: 9:30 PM, JULY 1, 2007 (Sunday)
