Para po sa mga nagtake ng exam before:

Any idea about the passing score for the exam. Kasi ung mathematics B e mhirap talga especially for someone without a background in calculus. Nkakatakot kasi ung first page lng from 2006 exam ang nsagutan ko at mga 4 out of 5 lng sa mga questions dun. Im trying hard to study calculus myself at may progress naman khit papaano. As to other subjects mas ok naman kesa math kasi multiple choice. Please help... any answers suggestions etc. will be appreciated!

hullo yuki! :)
There is no passing score for the monbusho scholarship - at least not the way you expect passing scores will be decided. You have to compete with all students (both locally and worldwide) who are also taking the exams, and, depending on the budget of the Japanese Government, you will need to be inside the top quota of the number the Japanese Government set for that year. It's good that you're doing your best in mathematics, I heard from the embassy years ago that not many Filipinos are doing well in mathematics - compared to other Asian students that is. So maybe you'll have an advantage over your local competitors.

One quick advice though - don't underestimate the multiple choice exam, it could be much worse than you expect. Good luck and take your time during the exam. ;)
