CHOBET’s English Grammar Proficiency Training and TOEFL/TOEIC Exam Review and Preparation with Internet On-Line Continuity Training Support

The Community and Home Based English Teachers Training have been holding a series of seven training since year 2006 (http://www.chocolateclub.or g/chobet_training.htm) . In every batch there are a good number of participants who become English language teachers for the first time. Worth mentioning is that those who are already in the teaching job have gained much greater confidence in their work as end result of attending the CHOBET training.

The CHOBET Associate Certificate Course has proven to be an effective jump-up start for beginners who want to immediately engage in community and home based English teaching. For further course upgrading into acceptable native level speaker abilities and at the most to be fully certified in English proficiency, the CHOBET training now includes intensive two day English Grammar Proficiency Training on Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading with Internet On-Line Continuity Training Support.

The acquired English grammar proficiency has to be certified and tested based on international standards. In attaining this goal, the CHOBET training program has included in its regular course the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) examination review and preparation. Is it Free?What is needed to attend the training?

How we wish to give it fir free. The only thing we could do is to charge for the training production cost including training materials, multimedia presentations, honorariums for resource person and lunch and refreshments etc. with total cost of 5000 yen per participants per day to share. Kaya 10,000 yen for 2 days training.

For single mother, just call us to arrange for the affordable training fee.

Subsidized ang ibang expenses courtesy of our sponsor, the Landbank of the Philippines Representative Office. Sa kanilang opisina sa Roponggi rin ang venue kaya nagagawang affordable ang training cost.

I am not favour with the ads hence also new to Japan. If you really wants to teach English in Japan it doesnt need a training for a cost. Unless your school is Certified to issue some kind of licensed such CELTA certificate of teaching adults. This is can be done by even under graduate. All you have to do is 1 month worshop like British Council School.

Suggestion lang sa balak mag turo sa Japan CELTA and pinakamadali na certificate in order to teach. Paki check po maiigi. Ako hire ng Berlitz part time because I got CELTA from Malaysia British council workshop 1 month lang po ako nag training. From 7am-6pm weekdays. Tapos get ko na yung ceritificate. May kamahalan nga lang, RM 5000 course fee. Pero nabawi ko naman after certifified teacher na ako. Dito sa Japan, na e apply ko rin at mas triple ang fee lalo na private lesson.

FYI, our program is more inspired and aligned with Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology or MEXT white paper titled Regarding the Establishment of an Action Plan to Cultivate “Japanese with English Abilities (http://www.mext.go.jp/english/topics/03072801.htm) (please see this link: http://www.mext.go.jp/english/topics/03072801.htm)

In this MEXT white paper, it is required for an English teacher in the locality to have 750 TOEIC and 550 TOEFL passing grade. There is no mention of any need of certification in that paper but passing the required TOEIC or TOEFL examinations is a must. Therefore, our mission program attempt is to prepare our kababayan for the TOEIC and TOEFL exams to achieve the required passing grade as specified by MEXT. And we have to get a top caliber TOEFL and TOEIC exam reviewer and this time from Ateneo de Davao.

Among our ranks as training organizer, our TOEIC exam results is only 950-980 points and we are not happy with this result since we aim to have a perfect score. So we really have to get top notch exam reviewer from the Philippines. Actually we have a Filipina full time teacher now in berlitz who is one among our training facilitator and even she recommends to get the help of expert English grammar training facilitator for our kababayan.

We need to say that we are not charging training fee but donations to off-set the training cost. For your information, we exempt single mothers from giving any donations and no charge for interested person who will volunteer in our mission program after the training. If ever there are some funds left out of the donation, it is given to the shelter for battered women of Kalipunan ng mga Filipno na Nagkakaisa (KAFIN) in Saitama. For the upcoming English Grammar Proficiency Training, we have to add more expenses for Manila-Tokyo-Manila travel expenses of the facilitator.

Since you mentioned that you are new here, we have to say hello! there is no such thing as free in Japan. We accept our accountability as traning organizer in terms of how many training graduates we have sent to teaching job at home and community style that we have good number now. For the upcoming training, hold us accountable for how many among those who will attend the English Grammar Proficiency Training will get the passing TOEFL or TOEIC exam result. We feel so sorry that we cannot run the program without infusion of needed obligatory funds from training participants.

I am currently working as an Assistant Teacher –International Center for Kindergarten. And I admit that my English grammar in terms of speaking really needs more empowerment. I did not take any proficiency exams or training for English Language here in Japan.
Can you please send a Map or sketch how to get there. My location is Fujisawa.

We are not strict with requirements since our mission is to help and share with people the others people's expertise like in the person of Congresswoman Luz Ilagan who will snatch her time out of congress work to facilitate the English Grammar Proficiency Training for us without any promise of honorarium or professional fee. i'd lke to add also na hindi ang british council ang nagbibigay ng CELTA certificate...it's the Cambridge University. the british council is just one of the centers certified by the Cambridge University to conduct CELTA training.

ay, ok! thank you for answering the question:) . so, you were in malaysia from 2001-2005, and you have just moved to japan last year. duon ka nag-training ng CELTA sa malaysia because at that time duon ka nakatira. wow! sarap naman!

one thing more, ka-TF, rest assured that i never meant anything personal sa tanong ko kanina....curious lang ba:D na nahaluan ng maling akala (na dito ka sa japan but you have decided to take the training in kuala lumpur...) alam mo naman minsan, ang maling akala...hehehe...

Hello..May I ask for more details about that 'CELTA certificate' you've mention? I'm really new here in Japan (just 4 months) and currently working as ALT , but I never had any training or Test for English Proficiency, and I am very much interested to get any kind of test or certificate here because I know it will give more credits to my CV.

I took CELTA at KL just before our contract as expatriate of fujitsu finished last 2005. In foreign company like business man need to take TOEIC for a better knowledge of business english.So I have both test. I had a plan to teach English in Japan so I decided to have this course. This is very expensive,but fujitsu pay as a wife allowance while we are in KL. I am sorry I am not familiar about Japan. What I can tell you only from my honest point, as far you are happy teaching no matter ALT or free lancer, its your choice. I am willing to give advice for those who wants to know more. I got a lot of friends native speaker who gave me some materials they are using here in Japan as a private teacher. I am not a full time teacher here, hence I'm enjoying meeting student from time to time in a casual atmosphere. Thank you...

tuition rates differ in each center. the british council in tokyo is a bit expensive (350,000yen or higher these days...almost like that of the centers in UK).
