This is a dismay!
The U.S. stated that the Philippines is its 2nd ground in its fight against terrorism. The Filipinos thought and BELIEVED that the americans are with us. Ano ngayon ito? Bakit hindi americans ang ginagamit para gawin ang U.S. embassy sa Irag? Ayaw nilang ilagay sa peligro ang sarili nilang kababayan. That's for sure.
Civilians who go to Iraq to work on U.S.government projects are given tight security by the U.S. military or by private security agencies. Does these Filipinos illegally sent to Baghdad being given the same protection too? Will they be given their due salaries? Till when will they work there? These people dreamed of working abroad to provide a better life for their families.
It's hard to believe that our government is unaware of this. These are filipinos who'll help build The U.S. Embassy. Sana naman kahit illegal ang pagkaka-recruit nila don, di sila pabayaan ng ating allies(?),the americans.

I read this yesterday from inquirer (http://globalnation.inquire r.net/news/breakingnews/view_article.php?art icle_id=79989).This is really sad.. Kawawa naman yung mga kababayan natin nangangarap na kumita ng maayos para sa pamilya - maaabuso lang pala ng mapagsamantalang mga tao.
I wonder why it seems that this is not being highlighted in the news .. considering that this is an international issue! Mas nahihiglight pa yung mga walang kakwenta-kwentang news. I don't believe that the government doesn't know anything about this.

Fawking disgusting! How low can those animals go.
They pretty much duped our countrymen to work in that god-forsaken hell hole. They promised them one thing, but gave them another. Why, is it because they're just Filipinos they can exploit and abuse them when they want? I wouldn't trust America as long as they're in bed with those greasy camel-jockies. I would much prefer the Philippines to be a neutral country, with no allegiance to any nation, but involved in commerce with all countries.
About that construction company...
First Kuwaiti Trading & Contracting, also known as First Kuwaiti, is a construction company that has been engaged as a subcontractor by Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root to build the Embassy of the United States in Baghdad. It was founded in 1999.
The company has received substantial criticism, both for the physical quality of their work, and for allegations of labor abuse which came to light in testimony given by former First Kuwaiti employees to an Oversight Committee of the United States Congress - one former employee went so far as to say that First Kuwaiti engaged in kidnapping.

More articles about this injustice...
This kind of thing has been going on for several years already.
Article 1 (http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=14173 )
Article 2 (Trafficked Filipino worker was interviewed) (http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=14178 )
"Once in Iraq, Autencio said that conditions became horrid that he and a group of 46 Filipinos decided to escape Iraq by hitching rides from Filipino truckers and with the help of another Filipino serving in the US Army. Traveling by night, they reached Kuwait in three days."
