Most of these tv programs lumabas sa Channels 13, 5 saka 9... (local channels sa Pinas)

Naghangad nga ako na maging superhero nung bata ako kaso nung magbibinata na, di pala kako pwede..hehehe...

hehe.. dati ako nung maliit pa ako, naaalala ko baliw na baliw ako kina maskman at bioman.. naglalaro pa kami ng mga pinsan ko dati.sari-sarili kaming colors. ako si pink 5! hahaha. not sure kung tama pa tong junban ko..

don't forget the rest of the Super Robots: Mekanda, Mazinger Z (and Great Mazinger) and UFO Grendaizer! I grew up watching them on Channel 7.

after a few years, there came the next wave of Japanese cartoons and I was watching the adventures of Honeyleen the Balloon Girl (Fuusen Shoujo Temple-chan), Paul in Fantasyland (Paul no Mirakuru Daisakusen), Princess Sapphire (Ribon no Kishi), Heidi, Orc (:confused: don't remember very well...basta, he was a jungle boy), Nobody's Child, Alakazam and of course, my favorite Candy-Candy (-^.^-)v

marami pang sumunod. in fact, not many people knew at first a number of cartoons were Japanese in origin, like the American versions of Gatchaman (G-Force/Battle of the Planets), Uchuu Senkan Yamato (Starblazers) and Go Lion/Dairugger XV (Voltron). I remember pala, another old favorite was Macross (pero minsan ansama ng dubbing nila.)

not all were cartoons, though. I loved Star Rangers (Red 1, Blue 2, Yellow 3, Pink 4, Green 5) which was the precursor to Bioman.
I also was fascinated with the old 60s series, "The Samurai" with Ose Koichi on Channel 13 (Iga vs Koga ninja... go fight 'em, Shintaro!:D) I think that was the time that I seriously thought of studying nihongo;)
