An incident involving a high school teacher from Ishibashi Prefectural High School in Tochigi Prefecture, and 11 second-year high school students, came to light today, November 7. The said teacher allegedly ordered the 11 schoolboys to perform around 300 squats inside a moving bullet-train, as punishment for bad behavior, during a school excursion. The high school principal, Mr. Oka said, "The teacher is amiss here, he has gone too far. I have asked the Prefectural Education Board for instructions, with the possible dismissal of the teacher." One student was hospitalized after the excursion. The other 10 students were examined at the hospital, but were found to have no abnormalities.
