please explain?" he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live"

Joh 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

He who trusts in Christ for salvation though he may die physically, yet trusting in Him, he is guarrantteed resurrection life-he will resurrect to glory. There is a sense however, that the one who has trusted in Christ alone for salvation has been resurrected positionally [Col. 3:1].

Col 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

The word "if" there does not mean an if of uncertainty. It is an "if" of consequence. It can be translated as "Since". "Since you were raiseD with Christ....." Christ is my position. Whatever happened to Christ God views it as having happened to me. IN CHRIST, i have been crucified, died, buried, resurrected and seated in the heavenly places.

When i look at myself, in my actual condition, I dont ever remember a time wherein I actually was crucified, died, buried, resurrected and seated in the heavenly places. That is when i look at myself. But we are not talking here of our condition. We are here talking of our position IN CHRIST.

At the very moment when I trusted in Christ alone for salvation, God identified and united me to Christ in His crucifixion, death, resurrection etc. Since that has already happened, I will no longer be condemned for my sins in the future---why, Christ not only died for me, I also died with Christ. I was already condemned with Christ for my sins 2000 years ago. No condemnation awaits me in the future.

Death is the wages of sin. But death to me now is not condemnation. Why, I died when Christ died. I died with Him 2000 years ago. Death to me now is gain.

The future certainty of resurrection is my living sure hope. Why, when Christ resurrected from the dead, I resurrected with Him. I may die physically but since positionally I already resurrected with Christ the sure prospect of my actual physical resurrection in the future is guarrantteed.
