hello mga katf:) pasensya na po di ko na kayo na update sa sobrang busy dito sa bahay..last night nga pala tumawag sakin TSUTAYA at pwede naraw umorder ng REVELATION yeheeyyyy!!!!!!!:yip pee: last last month kasi nag order ako sa kanila tapos they called me to tell na hindi pa nga available pero ngayon OK NA!:king:
1 week nga lang kakaru:D diko pa alam kung magkano babayaran ko..

Wal-mart also offer the downloadable MP3 version of the album here (http://downloads.walmart.co m/swap/LoadAlbumSongList.do ?itemId=9911197). The MP3 version of the Revelation album is $9.22 but there is an additional $5.00 authorization charge for credit card purchases which basically kills the deal off.

Was able to buy yesterday at Wal-Mart, US. usd12+ so it might cost jpy1300-1500 siguro. 1 cd new songs, 1 classic rerecorded songs, 1 dvd Live Concert in Vegas all in one..

hello mga AMIGA!:D nag try nakasi ako sa WalMart kaso nga di accept international credit card kaya VERY SAD:( kaya nag try ako sa TSUTAYA baka sakaling magawan nila ng paraan..actually nung tinawagan nila ako nung Tuesday night diko masyadong maintindihan..pero naintindihan ko lang OK na at ishukan gurai kakaru..so meaning sila yata oorder ..so pagdating sakin nyan siguradong mga nasa 3000 gurai desho?!:rolleyes: anyway kahit magkano pa yan..basta kumpleto..hahahaa:D post ko nalang pag dumating na sakin..pero pag uwi ng asawa ko sa Sat..daanan namin yun para alamin kung pano saan magkano, etc...:D

btw, guess WHAT??? available narin daw sya sa itunes(Japan):eek: may nagsabi sa Journey Forum....check ko nga:cool: ja bye!

Meron na akong MP3 version nung disc 1 and 2. Galing nung new songs! Kaya lang halata talaga yung pinoy english accent ni AP. In time, gagaling din ang intonation niya.

agree akong tunog pinoy nga sya sa album..pero sa accent masasanay din ang mga ibang lahi dyan..iba sa pandinig nila kaya unique diba..:p tayo namang mga pinoy gustong gusto ang tunog Kano kaya medyo...:D pero diba yun din ang gusto ng bandmates nya na wag masyadong maging tunog Kano sya?:p:D

konnichiwa to all Journey Fans especially Arnel Pineda's. Pinadalhan ako ng "Revelation" CD w/ DVD ng isang anak ng kaibigan ko from US. kahapon lang dumating. (Bale 2 CD's and 1 DVD set). Am so happy at napanood ko na rin yung dvd. Akala ko hindi na mapapanood kasi ayaw mag play sa futsu na dvd player at "region error" ang lumalabas. Sinubukan namin sa dvd ng computer at presto...OK na OK. Parang yung ginanap sa Las Vegas yatang concert ito kasi kinanta na nila dito yung Never Walk Away at After All These Years. Ang galing din palang vocalist ni Deen Castronovo (drummer) mataas din ang timbre ng boses niya ala Steve Perry din ang dating, may isang piece siya ng solo doon sa concert video. Acrobatic din ang dating ng mga high jumps ni Arnel. Maganda talaga, grabe ang applause ng audience sa bawat kanta nila especially sa napakahabang intro ng Open Arms. (iba ang ginawang ditong intro ni Jonathan Cain, may kahabaan talaga). :rolleyes::)Sana in the near future ay makapag concert din sila dito sa Japan.

power san, haloooo....nasaan ka na? thanks ulit sa pinadala mong CD's (Revelation) ni Arnel Pineda/Journey. Nakuha na rin kahapon nung dalawang kaibigan ko at kanina ay tumawag sa akin. Forunately ay may mga alam sa pc ang mga asawa nila kayat hayun, napanood nila kaagad ang dvd. "Hataw" daw si Arnel :eek: Gulat sila ngayon.:guitar::band ::mohawk: Medyo nahuli kasi sila sa balita about this "kababayan of ours" eh..:D. Salamat daw sa iyo!:) May pm ako sa iyo paki check na lang.

Alam mo parang sinasadya nila, denial yata na may bago ng journey lead singer and touring ...sinasabay nila i-play ang mga old songs ni SP. May isang non-rock radio station dito, halos araw-araw it plays "don't stop believing" pero yung kay SP..

Yatta! I was there and the concert was splendidly awesome!
Bingi pa yata ako...glad I had ear protector. It was jampacked! Full house, all tickets sold. Audience participation was amazing, young and old all sizes shapes and forms lol.

And after the show, on our way to the parking lot, grabe tao, parang prusisyon. One group of young ones started singing DSB while walking, then everybody's singing along na, may-i-join na rin ako :p

It was fabulous, AP was soooooo good! :D

Noon ko pa nbabasa tong thread na ito... di ko pinapansin, kala ko kung ano lang... then just yesterday, kinukulit ako ng anak kong aspiring songer:p about Arnel Pineda... kaya tuloy kagabi, nanakit at namula mata ko sa pagbabasa sa thread na ito from post #1 till the latest... ganunpaman, sulit na sulit nman at humanga nanaman ako sa talent ng pinoy... Naalala ko tuloy yong sinabi ng ex kong kanoto 10 yrs ago:p... sabi nya, world class daw ang Pinoy pagdating sa kantahan... kahit sang lupalop daw ng mundo sya magpunta, madami syang npapanood na magagaling na Pinoy bands...;)

pasensya na mod BUSY rin ako eh...slow lang dito sa thread nya pero we are BUSY:D

pero ang last kong balita ay na cancelled ang isang show nila dahil sa (nakalimutan ko na tawag dun sa sakit nya or diko lang alam spelling:biglaugh:)

pero OK na sya ngayon according to his friend RIUJEN..

Long time no hear sis, bawal cameras dun but was able to figure out how to take pics and low-quality vids, remembrance lang. Pm ko sa iyo pics kung gusto mo, di ko na i-post dito wala namang ibang interesado lol At least we held hands naman several times. :p

Kasi naman inaraw-araw yata ang concert, kandabasa pa sya baka kaya nagkasakit, sinusulit nila si AP, journey's been making lots of dough again AP jumping his tail around, sana huwag mawala agad boses nya.

LOS ANGELES, California—Now it can be told: award-winning filmmaker Ramona Diaz is making a feature-length documentary on Journey that’s tentatively titled “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey.”

Ramona, who won awards for her documentaries “Imelda” and “Spirits Rising,” shared with me the news via e-mail. She wrote, “This film is ultimately a snapshot of Journey at this moment in 2008 in its 30-plus year history, as it emerges with a new lead singer.” The band’s vocalist is, as everyone knows by now, Arnel Pineda.

In what is no doubt an exciting project, Ramona and her crew have been following Journey from rehearsals to concert stages. She said she has “full access to the band.” So far, the director who was born and raised in the Philippines but is now based in Maryland has been pleased with the cooperation of the band and their manager, John Baruck. “Arnel’s manager in the Philippines, Bert de Leon, has also been so cooperative,” Ramona added.

“What makes me really excited is that everyone is on board and understands what I’m trying to do with this film,” revealed the filmmaker, a graduate of Emerson College, with an M.A. in communications from Stanford University. It all began when Ramona thought that a documentary, especially on a veteran rock band like Journey as it continues to reassert itself in the music scene with a new vocalist, would make a fascinating film. She asked her manager, Peter McHugh, nephew of the late Sen. Rene Cayetano and son of Alice Cayetano McHugh, to broach the idea to the band’s manager, John Baruck.

The months-long negotiations eventually resulted in a dream project come true for Ramona. “We’ve been filming on and off since May and we’ll wrap in Manila when they perform in the spring.”

We are thrilled for Ramona, Arnel and the band—Neal Schon, Ross Valory, Jonathan Cain and Deen Castronovo. The documentary will be a milestone in the band’s long career, which has cultivated millions of rabid fans all over the world. The latest proof of the group’s staying power is the brisk sales of their latest, “Revelation,” making it Journey’s best-selling album since 1996’s “Trial by Fire.” The LA stop of their ongoing concert tour at the Greek Theatre has been changed from one to two nights (Sept. 28 and 30) due to overwhelming demand.

I have to admit that for many years now, when I’m driving alone and when any of the Journey staples blare on the radio, I sing, or perhaps more appropriately, scream along. It feels good, especially when I shout along to “Faithfully.” I laugh like crazy at myself afterward. I do recommend it—it’s a good release.

Ramona has her hands full. She is also busy with “The Learning,” another much-awaited project, which focuses on the plight of Filipino teachers who were recruited by the city of Baltimore to teach in its public schools. Of this docu, she said, “‘The Learning’ is full swing into post-production.”

Below are excerpts of my interview via e-mail with Ramona:

How did you approach the band for this project? What was their reaction, especially Arnel’s when he found out that it was a Filipina doing the documentary?

We approached the band through its management company. My manager, Peter McHugh (who also happens to be half-Filipino, half American-Irish) of The Gotham Group contacted their manager, John Baruck. It was months of negotiating back and forth and finally John Baruck understood the power of the story—after we had shown him a trailer of the first shoot we did with the band as they rehearsed in California in May. Now he’s our staunchest ally which is great because we can’t really do it without his support.

Arnel had heard that I wanted to do the film and of course, he was familiar with my past work. He thought it might actually work. He has been great.

What was your impression of Arnel when you first met him?

Arnel is the real thing. His size belies his power on stage—he owns that stage when he’s on it. As they say, “Ang lakas ng dating.” He’s a real star and the camera loves him. He also cares very much about doing right by the band and the fans. He truly understands and respects the legacy of Journey and he tries to honor that in every performance. I believe that where he’s come from and how far he’s gone is never far away from his thoughts.

On a personal level, Arnel is down-to-earth and realistic about all the hoopla that’s happening around him. Believe it or not, he’s still extremely humble—and it’s not pa-humble. I think this attitude is informed by his personal history. He’s been around and experienced a lot. I’ve also found him to be a profound thinker, a true artist in that way. So when I hear some people say that “He’s just a karaoke boy,” I’m thinking boy, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

When was your first filming? When and where will your final shooting be?

We started filming as they rehearsed right before they took off for Europe and we’ve been shooting on and off since that time. We’re hoping to wrap our shooting sometime in the spring when they tour Asia and of course, we’ll be there filming Journey’s concert in Manila.

When are you planning to release the documentary? Do you already have a distributor?

We’ll release the documentary late next year. No, we don’t have a distributor yet but everyone who’s seen the trailer is very interested. But like all documentaries, there is no set script and the filming is very organic so a lot of distributors don’t get involved until most of the filming is done. Emerging Pictures is on board as executive directors (Ira Deutchman and Josh Green). And I am also working with producers here in Baltimore—Whit Hauprich and Capella Fahoome—who are helping raise money through private investors. But we have the exclusivity on it—we’re the only ones making a documentary about this with the full support of Journey.

What is your overall slant?

Is it the resurgence of Journey, as Jonathan (Cain) has said? How will Arnel Pineda be integrated into this group?

Of course, the hook is Arnel’s universal Cinderella story. Cinderella with a voice of gold meets rock ‘n’ roll icons through YouTube.

In addition, the songs play a big part in the film because they are anthemic and as a collective body of work, they have become part of the fabric of the aural environment.

What excites you most about this project?

I think the classic story of Arnel and also because the rest of the band and their managers are all participating and understanding what it is I’m trying to accomplish with the film. It’s also a chance to show how a working band does it, from the ground up—something they’ve been doing for the past 30 years.

Will Ferrell, who stars with John C. Reilly in the comedy, “Step Brothers” obviously does not have an ounce of Filipino blood in him but according to IMDb.com, he said on the “Old School” DVD commentary that his nationalities are Irish and Filipino.

In a recent interview with Will, I asked what inspired him to dish such a joke. “I have no idea,” he deadpanned. “I don’t even remember saying it. Maybe Imelda Marcos was in the news at the time or something.”

Since this is a Judd Apatow-produced movie, one of the juvenile hijinks has Will going nuts over John’s drum set. The two actors play stepbros forced to room together. Were those prosthetics or were they his real crown jewels? Then he revealed in his almost prim, calm demeanor that made his answers even funnier: “No, they were prosthetics. They were expensive prosthetics, yes.”

Did he have a hand in selecting them? As serious as an insurance salesman making a pitch, Will answered, “No, I didn’t have any input into their ‘architecture’ but I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got to inspect them firsthand. They seemed like a great pair of stunt nuts.”

A reporter said that as a woman who has watched female breasts flop on the screen for decades, she was glad to see parts of the male privates dangle, for a change. “Well, yeah, it’s actually a very feminist move,” Will replied, not missing a comic beat.

As a colleague mumbled something about actresses using fake breasts, Will was still quick on the repartee. He countered, “That was nice to not have to use my own testicles, too.”
