May mga bookstores na may mga english books...pero madalang.Hanapin mo ang Maruzen..maraming mga English books dyan....ewan ko lang sa Kobe kung mayroon.
O kaya kung alam mo ang title nang gusto mong bilhin na libro umorder ka lang sa mga bookstore pwede limited nga lang....o depende sa publishing company na kung saan may connection sila.

I usually use Amazon. (Internet), though there are fairly good big bookstores near to where I live.

Also, near to a prestigious University, there usually is a secondhand bookstore that deals with textbooks.

Also you have the right to use the library of your University, where there should be a lot of good books in English.

This may be off topic for your purpose(work), but as for fun-to-read paperbacks, big public libraries may have a collection of such books in foreign languages.

Right now, I am reading Bill Clinton's autobiography,(It's a thick book, about 1000 pages in all) which I have to return to the library soon. (I am a Republican when it comes to American politics, but still I like Bill Clinton, though I really don't like his wife.)

Anyway, I hope you can find the books you want, and be successful in your work.:)

Sigurado ako may Tower Record sa Kobe. Malaking siyudad kasi iyan eh. Sa tower record and dami nilang English books and mags. Kinukuniya book store din marami lalo na sa mga English text books. Galahin mo na lang ang boung center nang Kobe City tiyak nandiyan lang iyan.:)
