Due to the reception of the following email from FISHER I will unsubscribe from the forum. However I DID read the rules, which clearly stated the forum was open and there was no registration criteria. If this is not the case, please state the rules in a clear manner for future users.

No I am not filipino, but YES I am married to one, who is back in Canada, and it was his suggestion that I enter this forum. I miss him dearly and must say that I am thankful that he is warm hearted and open to all nationalities. You must be different than the filipino community which I have grown to love so much back in Canada. Just another point...which probably isn't worthy to mention...but since this is my last posting...why not...one of my best friends was "stood up" on New Years Eve by a filipino...which really sucks. What's up with the filipinos in Japan? Is it something in the sushi?

Hi Sola,,sorry for fisher's e-mail. I just didn't get the logic of not accepting a non-filipino people in this forum. Im just new here also but I totally disaggree with that rule, if there is. A forum is an exchange of opinion and thoughts not being a racist. Im a Filipino we are often a victim of racial discrimination,and I don't want to do the same to other, making me the same person they are. If that's the rule, CHANGE THE RULE. If not? Then this forum is leading nowhere.

1. Yes, as the name implies, this site is for Filipinos in Japan. However, membership is not restricted only to "Filipinos in Japan". We have members in the Philippines, for one thing. And we have good members who are Japanese. And also Americans. As long as people have valid reasons to join and can contribute positively in the forums, then they are welcome.

2. Because the Administrators and Super Moderators made the rules and are the final arbiters in this website, only they can decide who are qualified or not to join (as if that's not obvious enough for everyone). If you have a problem with someone joining the forum, by all means, contact us and explain your side, but don't go telling people they are not welcome here.

No I do not think like a filipino but due to the fact that I am married to one I want to increase my understanding of the culture. I hope to have children some day and they will be of filipino blood. This forum helps me to feel closer to my husband during these months that I am away.

We all make mistakes. When we do, we explain our side and apologize. And then we all move on. Isn't it supposed to be as simple as that? Let's not make a big deal out this little misunderstanding. OK?

And while we're at it, let me explain a little fact that is probably unknown to most people here: No one is EVER deleted in Timog Forum. A member may decide that Timog Forum is not for her and quit visiting or posting in the forums; she may change nationality or move to the North Pole where there's no Internet connection, but her name and her posts won't be deleted.

By the way, people who are not welcome here are not deleted; they are banned.

Of course, all members can always delete their pictures in the Gallery, that's permitted.

Fisher is a very good man he was probably just exhausted as he just came back from Nagano yesterday. He went to Nagano to lend a hand to his in-laws to shoved snows off the roof of the old folks.
