well, meron japanese learning school sa malapit sa Yotsuya station. Hindi lang ako sure kung malapit kayo dun.

It is supported by Catholic church, kaya halos libre na sya. Confirm ko pa kung 300 en lang sya for the whole 13 lessons. Meron silang lectures for beginners and advance. Start na sya this coming January 15 at 1 pm every Sunday. Buong taon sila nagtuturo, so don't worry kung hindi ka makaka-enroll ngayon. Libre ang pagbisita basta isang beses mo lang gagawin. Teachers speak well in english kaya madali mong maiintindihan ang lecture.

na-confirm ko na sya! 300 yen lang ang tuition for the whole semester... mura di ba!? halos libre na. If you want you could sit-in in one of the classes and see for yourself. anyway, my malapit na church nga dun so you could attend muna ng misa and then check out the class after. just across the street lang ng church yung place ng japanese learning school.

I can attest to the information that docomo said. Siguro maraming mga city halls ang may ganiyang projects. Japanese learning sessions organized by city government (ku or shi), and the classes are usually spread across the ward.

The information can usually be found from city hall, at the section where they handle foreigner registrations etc. Kung saan ka kumukuha o nagpa-renew ng ACR.

As said above, mababait usually ang mga nagtuturo. Wala ngang bayad ang ganyang
classes. May konting bayad lang yong materials. Mababait ang mga volunteer teachers.

My wife has been attending those for several years already. It is also a good place to get Japanese acquaintaces, as well as other foreigners.

Just one note please. Please show appreciation to this VOLUNTARY action by those kind Japanese. My wife has seen instances where the students come to class irregularly, and the volunteer teachers sometimes end up coming to the class, with no students coming and no one bother to say they are not coming.

I make it a point that whenever my wife is not coming, she calls the teacher or the organizer to say so. She has now good relationship with the teachers, and even to our two kids who sometimes go with my wife to the classes, are being taken cared of.
