Hi IT experts,

I have a question regarding the files of a program when you modify it. I'll try to explain the situation as clear as I can. Hopefully you can help me out here. Hindi ko kasi maktia sa google e.

When a program is currently installed in a pc, and then you run the setup again, there are usually 3 options to choose from (Modify, Repair, and Remove). Then when you choose the 'Modify' option, it somehow (please correct me if I'm wrong here) re-installs / overwrites the current files with the files in the installer right? Now, how would I know that the previous file was really overwritten?

I've looked at date modified, date accessed, date created...and it all seems to date back when the file was created by the developer. :(

Any help would be much appreciated.

WOW! HE!HE! Hindi tayo IT and hindi rin ako software engineer!

Gusto mong malaman? Gawa ka ng experiment! HE!HE!
Open your C drive where your programs are installed, then mamili ka ng gusto mong paglaruan halimbawa NERO. Sa loob ng Folder ng Nero mayroong mga sub-folders pa duon, choose one file and palitan mo ng Name for example Pangalan ko then close mo after nun re-install mo yung program and choose mo "MODIFY" katulad ng sabi mo after ng installation open mo uli yung folders then hanapin mo yung name ko sa isa sa mga files then pag nawala na yung pangalan ko masasagot na ang tanong mo dun OK ba? HE!HE!HE!

Modify means inaayos niya yung mga nasirang original files or na dis arrange...Update means may mga bagong files/features;)

Repairing the software when you can not actually open the program or sometimes freezing...

Its not easy to distinguish which files are modified...Modifying program if you use the software rarely..Modifying your software if you feel the software running abnormal this is one of the option to solve the problem and last option is re install....

Another meaning of modifying is changing the coding of the software/ disassembling the program...Ex: Removing registration information from the program code.
