Hi Keichang.
Ang unprofessional opinion ko is go for at least 4 megapixels camera. Am pesonally using Sony DSC-T1 5.0 megapixel. Most of my friends are using 4.0 megapixel pero okey naman.
So I think, it is best if you will decide how much you want to spend for a camera and go from there ...

Makulit,
I also have the same camera.:)
'Recently acquired the T5 (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/t5.html).
http://www.superwarehouse.c om/images/products/Sony_DSC-T5R.jpg (http://www.superwarehouse.c om/Sony_Cyber-Shot_DSC-T5_Red_Digital_Camer a/DSCT5_R/p/624010)
The MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization) of the Lumix (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/fx7_pg5.html)is a big plus - helps reduce the occurrence of camera shake. But, the shutter lag is compromised.
The power up on the Cybershot is impressive.
And I like the convenience of the docking cradle for transferring images and charging battery without taking it out of the camera.
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/sony_t1/t1_cradle_io.jpg
Overall, the Sony Cybershot T1 (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/t1_pg5.html) and the Lumix FX7 (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/fx7.html)are comparable, from my experience.
Read some camera reviews here (http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews.htm l).
Lumix FX7:
From power up to first image captured measured about 3.5 seconds.
Shutter lag measured 1/10 of a second when pre- focused and 4/10 of a second including autofocus.
Shooting in single exposure mode, it averaged approx. 1.5 seconds between frames without the use of the flash and about 2.2 seconds with the flash.CyberShot T1:
From sliding open the lens cover till the first shot was captured measured an impressive 1.7 seconds; you will not miss many unposed spontaneous photo opportunities.
Shutter lag, the time between depressing the shutter and capturing the image, measured 2/10 second when pre-focused,
lag including autofocus was an equally impressive 4/10 second;
both of these times include about 1/10 second of delay in the live image on the LCD viewfinder.
In single shot mode, images could be captured at a rate of 1 every 1.2 seconds with Auto Review off, or 1 every 3 seconds with Auto Review on.Cybershot T5:
From sliding open the lens cover till the first shot was captured measured an impressive 1.5 seconds; you will not miss many unposed spontaneous photo opportunities.
Shutter lag measured 1/10 second when pre-focused
Lag including autofocus was an equally impressive 3/10 second;
both of these times include about 1/10 second of delay in the live image on the LCD viewfinder.
In single shot mode, images could be captured at a rate of 1 every 8/10 second with Auto Review off, or 1 per second with Auto Review on.
Using flash, shot-to-shot time ranged between 1.5 and 4 seconds depending on subject distance.

if PS S2-IS,murang mura na yan.
kung ixy digital 60,mura pa rin yan.
if ixy digital 55,tamang tama lang.
if ixy digital L3>>>mura na yan
if ixy digital L2>>mahal yan>>>about 22000 to 25000 lng ang L2
if ixy digital 500>>>mura na yun..
htwh.

try to visit websites of famous shops for camera like Yodobashi and Bic Camera

Mahal kasi, e.

Coneco:
http://www.coneco.net/idx/01105010.html
Best Gate:
http://www.bestgate.net/digitalcamera/
Take note that these are not just for digicams.
A case in point, iyong binayaran ko sa digicam ko lahat-lahat was around 49,545. Sa Yodobashi (walang Bic Camera malapit dito), with a 15% point-back, ang price tag niya is 62,800, which would amount to around 65,940 (with tax). Kahit idagdag iyong suppossedly eh maipon na 9,420 points (15% of 62,800) sa 49,545, you would still save much more if you just order online.
Iyong digicam ko pala is Lumix - DMC-LX1 (Panasonic). 8 Mega pixel. Ayos din :) My first digicam is a FinePix (Fujitsu).Hanggang ngayon from 2002, maayos pa rin without any problems. Napaglumaan na lang talaga. :)

Chameleon,
DSLR means Digital Single Lens Reflex. Yung malalaking camera na napapalitan ng lens. But if you're not going to turn it into a hobby or do some serious photography, one of the prosumer cameras or high-end digital compacts will do just fine.
BTW, just because a camera has more megapixels doesn't mean its significantly better than cameras with less megapixels. Increasing megapixels in digital compact cameras are mainly a marketing ploy by camera manufacturers to sell more cameras. More megapixels only matter with high-end professional DSLRs for photographers who require large prints of their pictures.
If your main use is for uploading to the web and printing in sizes not larger than A4 size, a 4-megapixel camera is more than enough. The other things that will matter then would be the features that you need in a camera, the user interface that you prefer plus the handling that you are most comfortable with and the look (both design and image output) that you want.
That said, I'm biased towards Olympus and Fuji when it comes to digital P&S cameras. I like the color rendition of Olympus and the print output of Fuji. If I'm going to buy a P&S camera, I would get a Fuji Finepix F11. It's fast and takes the best low-light pictures among the digital compacts available today. But that's me, your needs may be different from mine so don't take my word for it. Go out and take the cameras in your own hands, play with the controls, check the shutter lag and see which one you're most comfortable with and which design you like. Picture yourself taking it with you everywhere and having fun taking pictures with it. It's no use getting a camera that everyone says is good but you won't enjoy using.
