i have a bf, yonsei po sya, it means descendants of japanese national, yun nga lang po pang 4th na...long term po ang hawak nyang visa, if ever po ba na magpakasal kami may chance po ba na mabigyan ako ng visa?.....advice naman po sa mga nakakaalam....yurush iku:)

Sa ngayon di ka pa mabibigyan dahil di pa kayo kasal,pero your wedding mabibgyan ka dahil maipapasok ka sa family tree nila..At dito mag i istay ang asawa mo sa Japan kaya you have to stay with him too..Dont just complete all the documents needed..Ganyan ang asawa ng friend ko,nabigyan sya sa awa ng dyos..

Mga 6 months yata ang pinag hintay nya bago mabigyan ng visa pero nag to tourist sya mga 2 beses yata yun tapos na release na ang papers nya..

I'm not entirely sure as I don't have yonsei friends around. But as far as I know only Japanese Nationals have koseki-touhon (I'm assuming the boyfriend in question is still a foreigner - his having a visa).

To answer the original question, well yes as long as your boyfriend has permission to live in Japan at the time of your marriage. You can then apply for a dependant visa.

Which also makes me think that he would have to be (one way or another) in his root's koseki touhon to be able to live in Japan. There could be some other way yonseis are dealt with regarding their immigration procedures.

In the meantime, take my info above with a grain of salt. I would probably do a bit of checking and come back again later..
