Do you love barbeque?
Or is it only ,my husband and I, who love barbeque?
Everytime we go home to the Philippines- we look for delicious barbeques...
and each time we arrive, straight from the airport - my mom already has barbeque waiting for us at home...
Our favorite places in Manila are - Danny L'cious in Project 4 ; Country side barbq along Katipunan Avenue; Reyes barbeque and Aristocrat barbeque...
There was also one at the new Market Market mall - but the line was too long that we did not buy...I forgot the name of that one..but really super long the line...
Sometimes, I make my own barbeque here - but ever since our veranda was re-coated with water-proof material... I cannot grill outside anymore...
(that might start a fire....)
Baking it at the oven or grilling at the "fish grill" is different from the real delicious charcoal grill.... ne?
Where can you eat delicious barbeque here in Tokyo? Oshiete kudasai.

hi city_rabbit and good evening to you. yung thread mo bigla akong na homesick..love barbeque you mentioned the place in proj4 and katipunan(country side) champion barbeque dyan mura pa pwede pa uminom sarap na pulutan. i live kasi in marikina most of my friends from antipolo and QC kaya ang lapit lang namin dyan. namiss ko yung college day namin na pare-pareho kaming walang masyadong pera punta lang kami countryside with some bottle of beer solve na.haha!
whats your favorite barbeque sa countryside city_rabbit? ako gissard, isol, pork at pakpak ng manok sarap nagutom tuloy ako ulit. buti kapa you make your own pahingi recipe mo para hindi ko mamiss ang proj4 and katipunan alam kung kasing sarap na nila timpla mo.
hi City_rabbit.:)
iba talaga pag charcoal barbeque ano?talagang katakam-takam.
sa kabilang thread, tahong, dito barbeque, naku kakakain ko lang e bigla na naman akong nagutom, hahaha.:D

hi tepen and depp,
Thanks...am happy to know that we all agree... I miss barbeques made in the Philippines... the pork is different, the marinade is original, and the "usok" is
complete with Philippine traffic usok... :p
Kidding aside, I was so busy the last time we were there..I was home for three weeks but I just ate barbeque twice...once at Aristocrat, and once at Reyes barbeque in Shangrila Plaza Mall's basement...
tepen, I love Countryside's pork barbq... although I do not drink beer and other alcohol stuff... my cousins love to hang out there... that's where the boys go... that is also where we meet guys from Ateneo, and U.P... ;)
We live near Countryside...who knows? I may have seen you there...during college days...

Favs ko po yan. Penge!

depp, bell,Dkid, and tepen - thanks for your postings.
Yes, Dkid, sauce or the marinade is very important in making delicious barbeques...or barbeque spare ribs... whoooo... I add honey and sugar in my marinades...to make it sweet and shiny...
Barbeque is very popular in the Philippines and also in the USA, right?
Maybe because we have the space to grill and no neighbor would complain about the smoke...
Before, during summer time - I used to grill out in our small veranda ....then when the there is alot of smoke, I used to kill the fire and let the wind blow it away... in short, am always worrying whether I would bother my neighbors...
I just wish I could just barbeque here in Tokyo without worrying about what the next door people would say...ne?

hi depp,
I cannot create a fire from zero...what I do, is I bring the portable gas burner outside, and put the net with charcoal above it's fire, until they all burn...
then I transfer the charcoal to the griller... that is because I was always absent from girl scout time...

The snow is melting, and hopefully the fresh air of Spring
will come and so will the air be filled with barbeque on burning charcoal....:p :p :p
Hope all of you enjoy barbeque the way we do...
it is number one, next to spare ribs, and "inihaw na babsy -marinated in just salt, garlic, and pepper"...
@Raiden, hope you can read this, do you barbeque a lot in the States too?
My friend in Florida took me once to this spare ribs restaurant- it was so delicious...another friend, also in Florida barbequed out on their porch- we enjoyed so much... what about you guys in California?
@TF members, please share, what is your best barbeque? Pork, chicken, ribs, etc...? Or what shop in the Philippines do you patronise for bbq?
