Monbugakakusho Scholars: Free travel

Hello sa mga former and current recipient os Monbushi Scholarship program,

May tanong lang po sana ako especially to those in the social science courses. Does your laboratory provide for your airfare and other expenses if you are doing a research related to the Philippines and you have to go home and stay in the Philippines for a month of more? I've heard that the laboratory to which the Monbusho recipient is in receive some amount from the government to fund the students research.

better ask the international students' section of your univ. i'll be doing my research in the phils, too, but i'm not expecting them to finance it. i might use my allwance for my airfare and research expenditures. i will ask my sensei and the ISC, and discuss the financial aspect of my work, if they say i can get some money for it, then i would consider myself lucky...

i know somebody who went back to sri lanka for 3 weeks and did her research and she was able to get allocations for expenditures and airfare...
