Bakit kaaya? Dahil ba sa PERA?

I would like to share this bad expeerience of my friend. My friend is a Japanese at saka Researcher sa Tokyo University. She has a project in the Philppines called " ???"(Hindi ko lang babanggitin ang pangalan). She organized a group in Japan at tinatawag na "???". This group is a non profit organization(NPO). Ibig sabihin, the money they provide for the project ay galing sa mga benefactor na Japanese din. Most of these benefactor are executives.

Well, I'm sure there are Filipinos who are trustworthy, even though we have a bad reputation of being notorious "mandurugas" "manloloko" "sinungalin" "manggagancho" "magnanakaw" "mandaraya" "mapagsamantala" group of people.

But unfortunately, most of our countrymen are already desensitized to those unsavory characteristics, which they find to be an acceptable way of life. Hence the present state of our beloved homeland. It's friggin' sad and infuriating at the same time.

So I guess all we can do is to conduct ourselves appropriately as representatives of the Philippines, wherever we go, and whomever we meet, to counter the stigma that is associated with us.

"Nakahain na nga bakit di pa tukain." These things seems to be palatable, but they are temptations, bait/s.

Trustable ba tayo? Nasa puso ng bawat tao, nasa prinsipyo. It is a choice. May nabasa akong signature from one of the tf members, kay Raiden yata dati, "Death before Dishonor."

May manloloko at may nagpapaloko..

Hello!

I and my nephew went to Boracay last Feb.1, contacted a native male guide, he was the same guide the first time I went there. We booked in a hotel for 2 nights, paid in full. But we decided to fly back to Cebu the next day kasi sobra ang bad trip ko. I will not go into details pero ang masasabi ko lang and if possible do not use a guide, they will clean you up with your eyes wide open!
May isang kano doon na nagtatalak, "is this how you make money?" paulit-ulit pa.

:D Send me all your money.
I'll take good care of it.
I promise.
And if you have an NGO that needs an administrator, I can do that too.

Hmm... thinking of changing my signature to... In God we trust.

Been to Boracay three times but the last time was in 1998.
Don't think I'll go back, not the same ambience as before... almost no electricity the first time I went... and I loved it... parang Pinas nang mga ancestors natin, very primitive then.
Now I hear they have Korean and Chinese tour groups visiting there too?
But why would one need a guide in Boracay, such a tiny island?

(Sorry you were only there two days... back then I could be there a whole month just doing nothing or drinking rum with the locals... and the naked Euros.)

business kasi ang ipinunta ko doon, I need to see some lots and a house sana for rent or for sale and need somebody sana to lead me to some people na puedeng kausapin, etc.. I knew there were some ways pa kaya lang, nawalan na rin ako ng gana. My immediate personal assessment, the long white beach where hotels stand side by side, yung place na yun was just simply amazing including yung dagat. Pagpunta naman sa looban about some meters away from the back sa mga hotels, it is a different world. From fantasy world to reality world. Parang hirap na hirap ang mga tao, maybe that was the thing that led the guide to to do his thing.

WOW... doesn't seem like the same place I visited at all.
Seems like back then, except for a few of the 'hotel' employees, everyone was a local or from a nearby island. Don't think I'm ever going back but I do wish I bought some land that was offered by original owners.
Do you know if Sirena's is still around? It was a 'compound' of about six huts and I really liked the feel' of that place... beachfront near Boat station three, (near Cucamongas) I think.
Still standing after 15... Hehehe...
Whoa... way off topic. gome neh...

I still remember walking the whole length of that one beach, past both ends of stations one and three.... so simple back then.
