Another jaw-dropping image. Fantabulous!
Besides checking on EXIF data, how can you tell the difference between sunrise from sunset photographs?

@TuttiFrutti
Stanfy's camera settings are attached below. Note that the only difference between the two is Exposure time and Shutter Speed.

Hope this helps:

Good day crispee!!!

This is great! Thank you so much for your help... although curious uli ako papaano ba malalaman ang EXIF data ng mga photos na naka post dito? Yan ba yong tawag sa attachment mo? Sorry ha, kung mali ako pero am eager to learn everything about photography. Alam mo na newbie lang ako dito sa hobby na to kaya super excited lagi. For me mas madaling matuto pag nagtatanong na lang kaysa binabasa pa ang manual, hehehe... :p

Thanks again ...

Baka nagkakamali ako, pero baka magkaiba din ang "white balance" settings na ginamit?

Great shots, as always, @stanfordmed (I prefer the first one), you early bird you!
Btw kamusta na ang California? :)

Hello unica_hija,

Thanks for the compliment! :)

Ning2, Fisher, and Andres;

How are you guys? California is usual - not much going on. I'm kinda bored being here by myself. Ibon lang ang kausap ko, kaya tumatambay ako dito sa TF and pretend na nand'yan ako. :D

Tama si Andres.

The picture below is probably taken with the white balance setting at "Tungsten", usually depicted as a light bulb in the white balance setting of the camera. It supresses the yellows (because tungsten light bulbs have a yellow tinge) and in effect, enhances the blues. Hence, the blue sky, even when taking a sunrise/sunset pic ;). Try it!

Nice pic, btw, stanfy. But I think it would be better with the bottom part cropped out.

EDIT: After taking a look at the EXIF data, I realized I was wrong. The top pic had a Manual white balance setting and the bottom pic was set at Auto white balance.

The "Tungsten" white balance trick works, though, if you want blue skies in your sunset pics..

Come on back.... the sushi's fresh, the weather's getting warm, and the Pirripinos are cool.:cool:
Did you experience the cherry blossoms btw?
That should be coming up very soon.
I'm sure someone here will post pics (I hope).

And yes, I visited Japan last April prior to the move and enjoyed the cherry blossoms.

I can't remember what settings I used.

Indeed, it would be better if the bottom part was cropped - no editing was done other than the file size required for posting.
