About entertainers

kamusta po kayo lahat. i am an filipino american, that recently visited the Philippines. i met a girl in the Philippines, and she told me that she works in japan as an "entertainer" dancer for " variety shows" can someone explain to me the details of entertainment jobs in japan for filipinos..and also why someone in the philippines told me that girls that work in Japan are looked down upon??? EXPLAIN PLEASE
