i think bro, they thought miriam is bad when she said " i lied!". if my memory is right, she said that after giving a statement the she will jump from a helicopter if erap is removed from office. and as we all know, erap got kicked.

I dont know if anyone here have listened on a lecture of Miriam Santiago during her earlier years in politics. I did. And I tell you she's really one smart lady. She spoke in our school and it is probably one of the best speeches I have heard from anyone. I was even a volunteer watcher when she ran for President in 1992. It was even rumored that she may have won that election if not for the massive cheating by that tobacco chewing guy.:) Well that was then. I have watched her through the years and seems that she is now a different from the one I saw and admire in my schooldays. Her principles seems to have been compromised by going to different affiliations just to fit her political need. The last one is being affiliated to Erap and now to the most corrupt, liar, shortest president we ever had.:)

I'm quite contented of her being in the Senate (or at least in Congress) as her intelligence can be aptly used in authoring significant laws. I'm not sure as President though because of inconsistencies in her personality.

Naaalala ko talaga yung interview niya na iyon. I found out that I share some similar sentiments with Ms Summerghie.
Bayani Fernando may not have perfect solutions to all problems, but I guess anybody can see he's doing the effort to make things better. We can only hope he learns from his mistakes.


If there's no better candidate than him, why not elect him.

By the way, thanks "summerghie" for the link on MDS's blog. I don't know why some kabayans get the guts to disgrace Ms. Santiago where in fact, they don't know her that much. FYI lang po, she is also a textbook writer for most Law Students' books in our country.

Good thing is that we Filipinos abroad have given the right to vote, add the fact of having the computer wonder and internet world where we Filipinos get to interact and learn more about the Presidentiables's background and contributions for us to have a clearer view on whose name should be written on that valuable ballot. Marcoses may have had a very intriguing and sensational family story on graft and corruption, but guys! take note that amongst the Filipino Presidents we had in our history, I can't name anyone who may have reached the intellectual capacity of President Ferdinand Marcos and his power to rule! This thread may have been long posted, but it will remain a very powerful subject to discuss and argue with, until we get the taught, a wise taught to decide on who to elect for the year 2010. I just do hope, we could have more qualified, dependable, and worthy leader/presidentiables next time.

Id vote for Santiago. Santiago has more than enough intelligence,
judiscial and legislative experience(medyo kulang lang ata sa executive), strong personality(para hindi i-bully) and most of all hindi nagpapa"GANDA" sa mga masa.

Fernando - he maybe successful in marikina but he may not fair well on a wider scale(just like in manila). his managerial skills may not as be effective as a president
than he was a mayor.
Roxas- puro paPOGI! feeling artista para lang mahuli ang kiliti nang masa. wala nang ibang nagawa. i think this almost 40 bachelor is still under the leash of his mother.
baka pagnapresident to, 1 insurance company nalang ang pwd sa pinas. ehehehe
Legarda - I think she is no more than any actress-turned-politician. yes, she has wit. and yes she has wit. ehehehe
Lacson - usually its only after a man becomes a president that he becomes a criminal. but for Lacson, criminal na ata to! ehehehe though may paninidigan to pero ang
dami atraso/crimen nang taong to!
Villar - I dont know that much about this man. I only know 1 thing. he likes houses=)
