I was able to get a good size of pork enough to make me two dishes -

This was my dinner tonight, pork adobo...complete with tomatoes on the side and of course...not to forget the egg.

Last night, I had pork sinigang ... one of my favorite Filipino dish - this one was just a simple sinigang...

So, two dishes - with one pack of pork...

And since I already had the sinigang base -
I also made this very plain - Sinigang Fish.... Japanese "tai" fish...

this truly makes it - two in one - for the sinigang variation too...

Filipino food in just two days...;)

now we can go back to our regular Japanese food...

Sorry Fishery, if I made you hungry...
Usually, at home, we prepare Japanese food but these last two days was Filipino Fiesta days... the carrot of my eye loves adobo...not so much of sinigang though...;)

@ mcregor, too bad, we ate the fish already...this lunch time. :p

@docomo-yes, the egg goes well with adobo... but I did not know that was Ilocano style...
the EB made me hungry for Filipino food... but now, I think I had enough in two days... adobo and sinigang -

@TF friends- if you have adobo left overs, try to make adobo flakes - just flake the meat and pan fry it with very little oil... goes well with fried rice...;) garlic fried rice... okay?

Why chan? Do you think only women can cook?
Anyway, hope you enjoy your adobo... I prefer our adobo a little dry, not so much "soup" but rather sauce... specially if the sauce is already dark brown - soy sauce and vinegar tasting... oishiii .. a little thick sauce- that is good...

Napag-usapan narin lang ang pagkain.Nasubukan na ba ninyong kumain ng mansanas at isawsaw sa bagoong? Sounds funny! Pero hala kayo try it and you will like it.Ang dating kase parang lalong tumatamis iyung mansanas kapag kinain mong parang mangga sa ginisang bagoong.Nadiskubre ko iyan kamakalawa ng gabi while I'm online sa TF.Try it! Try it!:food: .

Hi again Fishery- if you will be eating in your dreams tonight - that is good...
as for us, we have to go exercise - walk around the corner before we sleep so we won't put the adobo in our bodies... we got to burn them...even the carrot of my eye says we have to burn off those calories...

what, apple and bagoong? sounds really weird...but maybe it is like watermelon and salt; or pineapple and salt... they become sweeter...
okay, we will try it...with my carrot...

Hi Japphi,
I just woke up!!! ha ha ha...I went back to bed at 1 p.m. -after all the house chores...(was half asleep doing them...)

back to the thread- yes, just chill the tomatoes, cut them or "squish" them with your hands (Philippine style) - put them on the side or on a separate bowl...important thing is eat the adobo together - about the egg, just boil them, and when hard, put them in the adobo pot..... tameshite...ne.:roll eyes:
