I think there's a thread here asking suggestions about Japanese names for their babies. let's talk about names you'd never or wouldn't give your child.
I'd never name my baby Tae or Taeko. for obvious reasons of course.:D I could be wrong but I believe these are girls names.

If my surname is ODA ,
I will avoid my baby girl giving name Mari.....( that's my name though...for short of "Maria"......some Japanese lady baptized me "Mari" long long time ago ,instead of Maria nantoka nantoka datte:D good thing our surname is not Oda:D:D .....

hmm, I can give names of some students which will likely be the target of jokes in the Philippines such as:
Nana
Mami
Kiriko
Yuya
Ayako
Misae
Yukina
Takao
Mako
Kanya
Kazuma
Yuma
Keiki
Yoshiko
Fumina
Ikuko
Arimasa
Tetsuo
Tomoyo
Yuta
Masaya
Kan
I don't think these names are bad, but no, I wouldn't imagine giving them to my kid :nono:
BTW, I also know a Japanese who gave his kid the nickname "Kiki" and at first couldn't understand why all his Filipino friends were suppressing their laughter whenever he introduced his daughter to them :D

good one baklita. however, i think it would be better if you refrained from posting using jarring colors. baka masita ka ng mods someday.
