To be known as the Clark Shogee Studio, the facility will be established in a 40-hectare land inside the Clark Special Economic Zone here. In three to five years, the project is also expected to become a major tourism destination similar to California's Universal Studio. More at: http://asia.news.yahoo.com/060213/4/2friy.html

This is good news - jobs will be generated & we will have a new tourist attraction. :thumb:

now that is good news on this otherwise dreary day. a revenue-generating venture, a new destination for filipinos and another reason for overseas-based filipinos to come home and visit .

.. here's hoping the goverment gives it's all out support! :)

maganda to, malapit sa amin. 5 mins lang.
maganda rin ang tyming, baka matatapos na rin ang freeway from subic to clark to tarlac. tsaka yung tren from kalookan to bulacan to san fernando then clark.

Lutong kapampangan superb!

Another one in Cebu also is coming..

"VENTURE capitalist Michael Gleissner, owner of communications powerhouse Bigfoot, has again showed his confidence in Cebu, by investing in $5 million for an international film school, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia.

The International Aca-demy of Film and Television (IAFT), which will be based in Mactan island, will not only help the Philippines attract large movie producers in Hollywood to shoot here, but bring in more tourists to the country as well. "

Last year, I encouraged my friend who's a film buff to explore possibilities of collaborating with Bigfoot Communications (http://www.bigfootpartners. com/index.html). He flew to the Philippines last month and visited this film company. Well, he was asked to encourage Japanese or any foreigner to study at Bigfoot's International Academy of Film and Television in Cebu (http://www.study-film.com/). Just let me know if you'd like more information about the film school or would like to directly get in touch with my scriptwriter-director-friend based in Tokyo.

Glad to have this film company in Cebu which turns the city into Cebuwood---generating jobs and income to our kababayan.

Hello Ugnayan, I'm basically a fan of small players (bigfoot is so big - I sometime wonder if the focus is indeed working..) so I'd also recommend Asia Pacific Film College (http://www.asiapacificfilm. com) by Marilou Diaz-Abaya et al. On a side note, I also had the pleasure of meeting your friend last year and we even talked about some projects as well (but that never pushed thru). BTW, tomorrow's gig sounds fun but I'm still in faraway Hokkaido so maybe I'll wait for next time. Do you sing as well?

Please tell Joey - Roy C. of Terabyte sends his regards.. tell him He owe me lunch for not sending me back a new year card :D. (biro lang!)
