Just want to share my "Yellow Salad" -
(sometimes it is also called "Pink Salad" - if you add the beets :)

The quantity of some ingredients are not specified - just balance all the ingredients. Okay?

Ingredients:

potatoes - cut into bite sizes (boiled, cooled, and cut)
1 pack of 100 grams of macaroni (boiled, drained, and cooled)
one apple - cut about the same size with potatoes
pineapple - drained, and cut about the same size with the potatoes

boiled and cut chicken (bite size pieces)
or
bacon blocks (bite sizes cut from a bacon block not bacon slices)
or
ham (buy the whole piece of ham, and cut them into blocks-bite sizes)
or
a combination of all of these

mayonnaise
a little sugar
a little salt
black pepper

Optional:
* The optional ingredients help you have different variations with the basic salad recipe. You can add them (1, 2, or more) at the different times you make the salad... for example, this time you will have one with raisins and cheese ... the next time, only beets... the next time, only walnuts...
(so many other variations, just imagine what you can add)- that is the beauty of the salad...

raisins (or cut prunes)
cheese - (any cheese cut into cubes)
beets - also cubed
finely cut onions or celery
walnuts

Procedure - very easy steps...

1. Prepare all the ingredients - boil, cool, drain, slice them and put them in the mixing bowl.

2. Blend them all together with mayonnaise, the amount will depend on how you want the salad.

Creamy or not so creamy.... you decide... :)

3. Put a little sugar and salt to taste.

4. If needed, add the black pepper to spice it up.

*The secret here is to mix all the ingredients - as if you are tossing them -
very lightly - use two salad spoons and lift the ingredients and mix them lightly so that the potatoes don't get mashed...

You can eat the salad right away, or chill it first - that again is your choice.

Be sure to keep this refrigerated.

Hello ning2-
yes, this was the salad.

remember it is you who will decide on what to put, blend the ingredients -
and also you just have to taste it from time to time as you are making this.

personally, I do not add that much sugar or salt because the apples and pineapples make it sweet already.. the ham and the bacon give the "meaty" flavor - so it really is a mixture of several tastes...

have a nice day - tell me how it turns out...

Hi japphi, yes, this salad is delicious, of course it will depend on what you put. I prefer to put ham and bacon over chicken. Chicken is okay but you have to put a lot of chicken. You can also try the no macaroni style. Just the potato salad version is also another variety.
