Hulyo 27(Linggo) Yu-suzumi party
(Ang ibig-sabihin ng Yu-suzumi ay to get cool in the evening.
Sa palagay ko'y eto ang Bon-odori.
Dahil the the word Bon has something to do with pananampalataya (Buddism), hence the word Yusuzumi must be "politically correct.")

Dapat i-submit ang Chumon-sho (order paper) ng pagkain
(Onigiri-setto 200yen, Yasai korokke 50 yen, Yakisoba 150 yen
French Bread Setto 200 yen, Yougashi (western sweets)Setto 250 yen)

NOTE: Kahit wala ang order mo, dapat isulat ang 0 (zero) sa chumon-sho.

Hunyo 18 (Huwebes) = Shimekiri (deadline)

Hunyo 14 (Lunes)=Tickets (ng pagkain) be handed

Pati rin, ibebenta nila ang mga ibang pagakain at laruan on the spot.(halimbawa; Poppu-corn, Wata-ame, Iceball, and other toys.)


For your information;
I think most teachers and kids, and also not a few mothers will be wearing Yukata on the day.:)
Ask your friends if they have Yukata for your kid and also for yourself.

Medyo off topic:

Although the word Yu-suzumi means to get cool in the evening, it's not cool at all in the evening around the end of July in Japan, you know.

Especially, if you are wearing Yukata and if you are fat...:O


This custom is a nostalgia to good old days, when there was no global heating, no heat island phenomenum, there were a lot of un-paved roads and a lot of trees in and around the shrine and no one had air-conditioners.
