Salamat sa moderators, for a quick action regarding having separate section for business.
Open uli tayo ng isa pang thread, tungkol naman sa business sa Pilipinas, particularly those areas of businesses where we, who are here in Japan, or those who have been here and hence have decent command of the language and a good understanding of the Japanese characters and culture.
As before, BRAINSTORM format tayo. Labas lang ng idea, no wrong or bad ideas. But let us keep it to the decent ones.Wag naman yong out of this world.
Intention of this thread, just bringing out idea. Kung may makapulot mabuti. As the moderators warned, let us all be careful and be wise when any actual business proposal is brought to anyone. It is ones own responsibility to protect oneself.
Let me start with the idea:
1/ Japanese language professional
2/ Japanese language school (nagsulputan na siguro ito in anticipation of the caregiver prospects)
Any business that can cater the needs of the Japanese residing in the Philippines ?
Any business that can cater the Japanese tourists ?
Anything that may come from the Phil that may sell to the Japanese here ?
I mentioned in the previous thread about the tourists coming from Japan. I'm not quite sure though if the number of tourists have been steadily increasing over the years, since it seems that most of our foreign visitors are koreans. But I've been thinking of starting a tours business. Like having a packaged vacation for foreigners, particularly the Japanese. Medyo maganda kasi magbakasyon kung wala kang poproblemahin like where and how to go when you're here, and where to stay, eat, you know what I mean.

Maganda yan. Good luck sa iyo. Please use all those experience.
They are probably one amongst the most difficult to please customers because of their very high attention to details in many things, but it also means that if you can make them a satisifed customer, that will be your huge advantage over other competitors. Siguro ang mga kailangan nila, to give a few examples:
1/ utmost safety 2/ excellent food, healthy foods 3/ predictable schedules and people who keeps their time obligations to the minute or seconds 4/ friendly and not forward people
5/ cleanliness

Sana nga matuloy ang mga balak ninyo. Lots of good businesses starts with ideas then planning, perhaps it is worth for you to start the planning stage. Take notes of your good ideas whenever they come up, para hindi nalilimutan, ask your Japanese friends about what are the things that will make them really travel to the Philippines. Security will come #1 to their list, but for sure there will be other factors. Observing how the travel agencies here handle their customers will also be a good source of information for your business planning.

I have put up business in Philippines 3 yrs ago but not related to Japanese. The first one is Net Cafe but we dont just rely on net cafe profits but we added other services like photo printing, xerox copying, fax service, School ID printing and design, T-shirt printing etc. Kasi if we just rely solely sa net cafe business, mahirap talaga.
Then i bought and idle land, planted it with mangoes and now mejo malalaki na yong mangoes. Then integrate ko yong farm with cattle and goat raising, so far ok rin ang naging flow. Yong goat is now on 40 DOE level and ang bilis dn nilang dumami.

I just want to share what i have sa mga kapatid natin na andito sa Japan. Kaya kung interested kayo lets have coop and lets invest our hard earned money sa isang business sa Pinas. I prefer goat raising kasi mas mabilis ang ROI nya.

As i observed very successful ang ibang OFW COOP na naumpisahan nila kaya lets try also. Pag pinagsama sama natin ang kunting pera natin i believed maganda ang katutunguhan. Kelangan lang ng know-how sa biz na papasukin natin and proper management. Sa livestock minimal lang ang supervision at pag maraming interested, i can go home and manage it talaga. Nasa Hibreed goat raising ako, yong BOER GOAT which is imported from Australia. BOER BUCK cost around 30 to 50,000 pesos. Nasa 60 to 90 kgs ang mga breed na to compared don sa mga native na 15 to 20 kgs lang.

@tokyoboi, count me in! please keep us informed about your COOP project.

Louvette san and Flippy san;
turnout of my goat raising biz is great. I started with few herds and now nasa 40 DOE level na ako. I bought before few heads of native goats and i crossed them with the HIbreed from australia, and the result was great. My target now is to concentrate with the highbreed coz it command better price compare to the native one.
I observed mas mas maganda sya talaga compared sa hog raising considering the price of commercial feeds now for swine is sky high. If you need more info regarding goat raising you may join the goatraisers yahoogroups and you will be acquinted with all the BIG brothers in goat raising. YOu will learn alot from them. You can browse the net and you will see who are the BIG One's in Philippine goat raising.
Flippy san, you can ask any question from goatraisers forum and fellow raisers are ready to answer your querries...
But its not that hard to manage as long as you have caretaker who knows all the farm techniques. At first, am also a failure but i've learned alot from all those mistakes.
With the help of DA, BAI, LDC, PCARRD as i was able to learn the proper system of goat farming.
Lets form a COOP here and invest our hard-earned money back home. Keep in touch and kung marami na tayo, pwede na tayong umupo at pag usapan ito.

Louvette san;
Pangasinan is one of best consumer of chevon. Market? But my target is not for meat production but more on production of hibreed goats that can be sold for a better price.
Hibreed goats selling price is from 500 to 1000 per kilo of liveweight. Hindi kasi yong meat ang binibili dito kundi yong blood nya or the bloodline that will improved the quality of herds. Fullblood breeds price is 30K to 50K per head.

Myukasky san;
Sa housing nila, you can use raw material like bamboo and cogon grass pero mas prefer ang yero kasi it will last for years. You can start with the native breed then buy upgraded BUCK or yong may lahing bulog so that the offspring will be bigger and mas mahal.
First thing that you have to do is prepare the area. Build house for the goats and plant forage and legumes that will sustain yearround supply of feeding for your herds.

Yeah, preparing the Farm will be the first thing that you have to do. You can integrate cattle sa goat as what i do in my farm. kasi ang cattle, more on grazing wherein ang goat is more on browsing., d sila gaano sa grass but more on leguminous plants sila. YOu can plant kakawate, ipil ipil, rensonii, centrosema, flamingia, napier grass and many more. You cant do this pag nasa farm na ang mga stocks mo. If you want to intercrop veggies, dapat may separate na fence yong veggy kasi uubusin lang ng goat yan. If you want to plant mango, buy the 2 meters high seedling para d nila abot then put brace on it para d nila tumbahin.

I can offer my farm as start up natin. Dagdagan natin yong mga stocks don, then we gonna build another house at bakuran natin yong area ng farm na wala pang bakod, then thats it.

If you want to go into HiBreed goat production, it will cost million to start 25 DOE level considering the price of High grade goats from Australia. So the best thing that you can do is starting your goat farm with native DOE and hibreed BUCK. Then every year you gonna upgrade your herd until you come up with all upgraded stocks.

Rodski San;
Failure dn ako sa unang attempt ko but i didnt give up. Yong first batch na stocks ko halos namatay lahat but i've learned alot from those mistakes and now alam ko na kung saan ako nagkamali and im aware not to do the same mistake again.
Lets talk about this project and i know pag pinag isa natin yong effort natin, we can compete with those big brothers na nauna na sa goat raising. It means, napakaraming interested sa goat raising. Ang dami kasing gustong mag shift from hog raising to Goat farming kasi nakikita nila yong potential ng business. And for us, OFW, we can do it too basta magsama sama lang tayo.
Lets build a wonderful future through Cooperative effort and lets organize a meeting pag marami rami na tayong decided for this project.

You can buy Hibreed goats from Pangasinan, some farms are raising the BOER goats and it demands better price. Hibreed goat is 1000 per Kilo liveweight.

I have a small lot in La Union ,and na try ko yung magalaga at magparami ng native goats pero with the help of some kamaganaks which is my caretaker na rin sa land ko there but unfortunately wala talaga akong alam. I really don't know how and where the business will go fort, that's why when i read this thread i think this will do a lot for me to understand and how to run the business itself. I'm willing to learn para matulungan ko na rin ang family ko sa Pinas.

secure their housing bro, masyadong selan ang mga goats sa ulan. mortality of goats caused mainly from diarreah ang pneumonia. try to deworm them before the onset of rain. parasite is another cause of mortality.
if you want to learn more regarding goat raising, try to join the goatraisers groups at yahoo and you will meet the big brothers in this field.
proper nutrition and sound management ang kelangan sa goat raising. kala ng iba napakadali ang pag raise ng kambing pero sa totoo lang napakaraming dapat i consider. if you want to know more try to PM me i can give you some tips on goat raising.

secure their housing bro, masyadong selan ang mga goats sa ulan. mortality of goats caused mainly from diarreah ang pneumonia. try to deworm them before the onset of rain. parasite is another cause of mortality.
if you want to learn more regarding goat raising, try to join the goatraisers groups at yahoo and you will meet the big brothers in this field.

if you want to start raising goats, start kayo sa native does at least mga 25 heads then get upgraded buck(breeder) if you can afford to buy the fullblood stock, buy one coz this will improve the quality of your herd.
sa housing you can use local materials like bamboo and coco lumber but i recommend yero and bubong para mas matibay.
native does ranges from 2,000 to 3000 per head depende sa location nyo.
upgrades mga 7000 to 40,000 per head.

right people for the business ang dapat- madali lang mag pu up ng business lalo pag may puhunan but ung life span ng business mo? who's who? the people na know how to improve and make a good profit on that business you're trying to put up. sa ngaun better have a FRANCHISE nalang than putting your own business name and stuff, same then ang puhunan but the difference is, you have the name na, then proper training to oversee the business, and ang masarap na part, mag aantay ka nalng ng kita mo. like the Jollibee Corp., sa ngaun ang estimated value ng franchising is nasa 42 million peso na, sa McDo mas cheaper nasa 38 to 39 million, lahat na un kasama, mag aantay ka nalng ng kita.. with in a year or more, bblik na sayo ung kita. no hassle db? maraming big business name na maliit lang ang franchising fee.so, putting a business tlaga needs a good dedication and right people to deal with.:)
