Laughter, humor, and comedy films may not sound "pharmaceutical" but they are definitely good for the heart.
A recent study, led by Michael Miller, shows that watching comedy films boosts blood flow to the heart. The result was published in the 2006 issue of Heart. Miller is director of preventive cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

In the study, involving 20 healthy young adults, 15-to 30-minute segments of two movies, at the extreme ends of the emotional spectrum, were shown to the participants at a minimum of 48 hours apart. The sad films included the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan; and the comedy films included There’s Something About Mary and King Pin.

I've read it here. (http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/ceb/2006/03/08/life/laughter.is.good.for .the.heart.html)

Ugnayan, you made my day!!!!Ha,ha,ha,ha,h a.:D .

I'm glad napatawa ko ikaw, Fisher! Medyo phlegmatic ako pero it's good to read funny articles...as I unwind for a busy, serious day.

Here's another one from Clean Laugh:

THOUGHTS ON EXERCISE:yippee:

~ I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks.
Haven't lost a pound. Apparently, you have to show up.

~ If God meant us to touch our toes, he would have put them
further up our body.

~ I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them

~ If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a
small country.

~ The only reason I would take up jogging is so that I could
hear heavy breathing again.

~ I don't jog. It makes the ice jump right out of my glass.

~ I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people
who annoy me.

~ I have to exercise early in the morning before my brain
figures out what I'm doing.

A doctor has a stethoscope up to a man's chest. The man asks,
"Doc, how do I stand?" The doctor says, "That's what puzzles
me!"

Laughter takes care of several painful feelings. It releases fear, which is often the root cause of emotional distress. As people laugh at things that threaten their well being they realeses anxiety and discomport decreases.Laughter release light anger. It also works to realese deeper anger, indirectly. It also releases boredom, the emotion related to changing the amount of stimulus in our environment.Laughter has a various powerful medicine.
We need laugh more and seek stress reducing humor in our everyday lives.Laughter is the human gift for coping and survival. The power of laughter is unleashed everytime we laugh. In today's stressful world,we need to laugh much more.

....i believe that laughter is the best medicine for our heart. Seriously, research has already shown that mental stress can restrict blood flow to the heart. But now a study has linked laughter to increased blood flow. Laughter appears to cause the tissue inside blood vessels to expand. As a result, laughing may be important to reduce the risk of heart disease. it may also influence the release of nitric oxide, which too expands blood passages. so~~go ahead "Laugh Out Loud"!!!!:biglaugh::bigla ugh:

Wife vs Husband
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede
their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically,
"Relatives of yours?"

"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws"
