while consulting google, i came upon a blog na ang solution daw is nilalagay yung hd sa loob ng freezer for "some time". gagana daw eto for "some time", just enough to copy your important files before babalik ulit sa initial "dead state".

"The reason that this works, is that when a head crashes it gets off center and will hit the pin the harddrive. Freezing it compresses it, allowing it to gain a little room to move where it wouldn't before."

I've done it. Same symptoms, the HD was making weird clicks. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Severe na yata yung problema nung HD at that time. That should be your last resort. Let us know if you're successful. :)

Hello po :) I did try it before. Minsan nagana. :)

Try this Old Thread about Hard Disk Freeze (http://timog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=963 6&highlight=freeze&page=3)

and be sure to follow the right way.

Last time ginawa ko yan.Tsamba lang gumana pero di ako kumporme, pinalitan ko pa rin hdisk baka mag call back sa customer nakakahiya.I have 3 dead harddrive and tested that method again but fails!

on another note, me mga data recovery services ba dito sa japan? has anyone tried it?

salamat po sa mga inputs :)

There are some.. but I guess it is very expensive
Is it really worth to spend money to retrieve 1week emails and IM?

im tsaka email kasi gamit namin with my clients and associates. research/canvass ko na lang po muna if worth yung presyo for the recovery.

minna, hontou ni arigatou.
