How much money would be needed to obtain a decent living in the Philippines? I would like to ask estimate figures if planning to live in the city like Cebu or Davao.

MANILA, Philippines—The quick answer to the question in the title is that, for most Filipinos, as of a few years ago, being “mayaman” (Tagalog for “rich”) begins at a monthly budget of P20,000 in expenses for the home.
Very many readers will probably be surprised at this answer. Perhaps they will protest that they are not mayaman. But I suppose they can accept that anyone can have her or his—incidentally, women tend to set a higher border for mayaman than men do—answer of where affluence begins.
The exact question asked by the poll group Social Weather Stations (SWS), in nine national surveys over 2000-2005, was: “Let us talk about the word ‘RICH.’ For a family as large as yours, in your opinion, what is the least money for home expenses every month, such that if it had this, it would be called a RICH family?” (Let me stress that this refers to what people feel about themselves, and not to what people feel about others; the latter should be tackled by a differently-phrased question.)
The national median answer to this question has been stable at...

mahirap mag estimate kung magkano ang magagastos mo kung sakaling
titira ka sa lugar na gusto mo.......ang pag gastos dipende sa iyo.....kung
maluho ka o matipid ka......lalo na kung puro labas lang at walang pumapa-
sok na pera......masasaid ka.......:)
kung solong katawan ka lang mako control mo pero kung kasama ang
pamilya ewan ko na......:)

sa akin anak k binata nasa pinas sya may work na pero kulang pa sweldo nya kaya nagpapadala pa kami ng 7man/mo.Bale sariling bahay pero may 2 cyang kasama sa bahay kaya may tulong pa rin galing sa amin.
May Jap. friend ako pinili nya tumira sa pinas kasi may college cyang anak at nag-aaral sa La Salle Manila tapos husband nya sa ibang bansa din ang work.Sariling bahay,may 1 driver,2 kasama sa bahay at 5 aso nasa 20man/mo. daw gastos nilang mag-ina at 5x a week mag-golf friend ko.
Pero sa atin naman depende rin sa life style natin ang gastos every month eh.

Ano ba Standard of living mo? Can you live w/o any washer and dryer? w/o hot water? High speed internet? A/C all day or all night? Do you know how to use public transportation? Do you have kids? Private school ba sila mag aaral?
Kung isa ka lang...50 thousand pesos per month survive ka na siguro.

taga davao ako sa pinas dati nung nasa pinas pa ako pinapadalhan ako ng 8lapad ng asawa ko nung di pa bumaba ang yen medyo okey pa ang budget ko pero nung bumagsak ang yen at nagmahalan lahat ng bilihin kulang na rin mahal kasi pag sa city tayo titira cguro kung sa akin mga 60 thousand a month okey na :)
