I have been meaning to post my rebuttal to Nick’s poster lying that he banned me because of my misdemeanour. I didn’t get round to my plan because there are far more important things that needs my attention than lurking unproductively at Timog Forum.
Nick’s issues against me are very shallow and very unprofessional. In his poster he said he banned me because of my bad behaviour which I would like to dispute. For starters, he failed to mention that I sent him an e-mail asking him to unsubscribe me immediately because I don’t like to get my inbox clogged with mails from TF. After almost two months past, when I visited the site again did I learn about the lie.
On the issue about my undesirable behaviour kuno, I found it really funny and totally ludicrouse. I got banned just because of the complains from other members who could not stand up for themselves. That I was ignoring the house rules of Timog Forum. As far as I am concern, I have not spoken ill to another person in the forum. I haven’t peppered the TF with invectives, profanities and foul words. I am very friendly to anyone which is the main purpose of the TF. But I do argue a lot not because I like to but because the TF has provided a certain category where people could openly express themselves. One of these categories is the ‘MUSING’. When you provide an opening where in people could express their opinion on issues you should expect that lights could sparks out of the different opinions that we all have.
Nick and the other moderators acted hastily to banned me from the forum. I wont blame them for after all Filipinos are like that. We love to borrow power from our position failing to see the merit of using such power. By acting on the complains from the other members, Nick et al pandered to Filipinos weaknesses. Filipinos always love to come to someone in authority to borrow power from their position to scare off a potential enemy. Nick shouldn’t have listened to them but instead encourage them to develop their own opinion and ideas before using the power of his position as a moderator.
The bottom line is, it is all business. The forum needs people to props it up. No people no business. No hits no advertisements. It is just like TV shows. If your show can’t generate enough viewers then your show get axed off the air.
And what is my business of dropping by the TF? Certainly TF is nothing special. I keep popping round because TF is always getting in my way everytime I am on line ,especially when I am on the other Filipino groups and newspapers. Besides, the internet is free. I can always pop in at will because no one owns the internet and so no one has the right to ban anyone who wishes to surf the net and browse its pages.

PS
My last poster didn’t mean to say that TF had hired a saboteur. What I mean was the Saboteur who was on the TF that was hired by someone who hates me.

Welcome back din Gabs!!!no comment na lang ako....ayaw ng falohh!!!:D
Gabby used to be known as the chief troublemaker here in Timog Forum. Now he can claim another title: The Banned User Who Just Won't Go Away Quietly. Let me reply to his post for the benefit of members who don't know what's going on.
I have been meaning to post my rebuttal to Nick’s poster lying that he banned me because of my misdemeanour. I didn’t get round to my plan because there are far more important things that needs my attention than lurking unproductively at Timog Forum. He couldn't reply because he was banned. Before that he was given ample time (too much time in fact) to atone for his sins. We (and the people he offended) never got an apology.
A barren lie.
When Gabby was around, we had all sorts of reported posts from upset members who couldn't stand his behaviour. We tried to remind him of the Rules, we cautioned him several times. We gave him three final warnings to improve his behaviour or get banned. All were ignored.
Here's his final post directed to me:
Like as if Timog Forum really matters to me. Heh he he he . . . I am very happy to see the back of your Timog Forum Nick no problem at all. I can do without your forum. I wont miss you at all. :p Bye everyone!! :)You can read the rest of his tirade here (http://www.timog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=203 8).

When you provide an opening where in people could express their opinion on issues you should expect that lights could sparks out of the different opinions that we all have.Expressing an opinion is alright. It's making a total ass of yourself that will get you banned.

How low can you get?
The moderators and I are very patient with misbehaving members. We all make mistakes, after all; we just need to be reminded by others sometimes. It's those people who repeatedly and brazenly break the rules that are banned.
The moderators, by the way, are doing a great job running the forum. After almost 2 years, I have yet to receive a complaint from a member of Timog Forum about a moderator.
The bottom line is, it is all business. The forum needs people to props it up. No people no business. No hits no advertisements. It is just like TV shows. If your show can’t generate enough viewers then your show get axed off the air.No, the bottom line is, he was banned for repeatedly violating the rules and showing no remorse for his actions. The rules keep the peace in Timog Forum and people who break them have no place in this commnuity.
It's always other people's fault, except his.
This is a very strange thought: "The internet is free." And the corollary that follows: "I would say whatever I want." Such breathtaking arrogance.
We do have the right (and the power) to ban anyone who repeatedly violates the Timog Forum Rules and Guidelines and creates trouble for our Community. The only way back for banned users is to send us an apology and a promise to behave in accordance with the Timog Forum Rules. Then, we will consider lifting the ban.
Unfortunately, people like Gabby would do anything, they would change they ISPs (or register through a different computer), sign-up under a false email address and sneak back into Timog Forum (this is probably the third time already that he did this), rather that own up to their wrongdoing.
That doesn't really work because we'd just ban them again, like I just did now.
@Mighty
I don't know you, but I have read Gabby's posts and even I think that he could have offended many people here at TF with his flaming words. I hope that he could soften his heart and admit to some of the faults. The admistrators and moderators here have tried to plead with him and issued warnings instead of immediate banning. We just need to practice a degree of empathy to other people's feelings.
We are grateful that we have a community here that we could utilize in times of troubles, a place where we could talk to someone more close to our hearts, and a place where we could get useful information about Japan. Administrators, moderators, and TF members all contribute to make TF possible, but it is the moderators and the admistrator who will always have the troubles of trying to pacify an explosive thread, of providing help of last resort, of making clear the rules so that there will be order in this community. I hope you could feel empathy for their hard work in setting up and managing TF for us.
You said Gabby did not "pepper TF with invectives" but his personal attacks to other members which are still there on the existing thread could prove it. Gabby must remember these comments he made towards another member: "I realised how cheap are your opinions and how little respect you have for yourself. The bottom line is you are the one who is clinging to the sleazy and stinking Japanese Oyajis so you can make a living." Do you not think that these are invectives? Even your comments accuse the administrator of "lying", but the administrator does not have any reason to lie because it's all written all over TF. I actually think that they are hoping for you to change heart that's why they just warned you throughout the thread (http://www.timog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=203 8), although again you are denying this saying that you were "hastily banned". Gabby was warned several times but he disregarded those warnings, that's why he got banned.
Maybe yes, no one owns the internet as a whole, but TF is definitely owned by someone, and that someone is incurring lots of time and energy just for us to be able to talk to each other. Don't you think you should give them a break just for once and clear all these things already? You say that TF is "nothing special" to you, don't you think that this comment goes to every members of TF who tries hard to contribute to this community in which you were once a part of? What would you feel if someone made a negative comment on a community you are a part of? You should learn how to have empathy for others - you should really try it, it's really a good feeling. ;)
oops, sorry nick. I thought you're not going to reply so I took the liberty to do so.:O

Gabby used to be known as the chief troublemaker....... because we'd just ban them again, like I just did now.
Wow, si mighty Gabby, naging mighty banned (joke lang...peace be with you)
Let this be a lesson to all of us here at TF. We are here to contribute to the community, to ease the burden of some of our fellow Fiipinos living here in Japan and not to cause any aggravation. We are here to interact and create a wholesome friendly forum.
I don't know Gabby, but I read his past posts. It's just a waste of his talent, to concentrate his energy on giving unconstuctive criticisms. Probably,he had a point, but he could have chosen a more subtle manner of replying. No doubt that he is very educated, but it really depends on how you define the word 'educated'. Sayang, he could have been a good asset to this community.

Hello everyone it's me again GABBY!
Heh he he he. . . . Don't make a joke out of yourself Nick. Why should I want TF to lift up the ban against me. As I said TF is NOTHING SPECIAL. I could always pop round whenever I want to. I don't really want to split hairs with you regarding your very intellectually challenged rules and regulations. It doesn't worth my time. Your rules are very controlling and devious. What is really shocking is that, the moderators themselves, who violated the rules. Typical Filipinos isn't it? Review your rules and you'll find out what I mean. I don't really want to think that you made the rules on the premise that Filipinos in Japan are not sophistically educated as opposed to Filipinos living in the U.S. or Europe. I would think rather that it is more on business, like choosing a suitable market for easy profit.
No Nick, you are flatly wrong. I wont make my apologies because there isn't any need for it. Just remember I could always come and have fun. Filipinos talaga oo tsk tsk tsk . . .:)

= That's fair enough.

= I don't want to quibble with you over the quote. It was made out of provocation and the moderators knew that.
Even your comments accuse the administrator of "lying", but the administrator does not have any reason to lie because it's all written all over TF. = TRUE! But is there really a feeling of community here or just PAHAMBUGAN or PAYABANGAN lang. I don't know about you but that is really what I feel about it. But in fairness to other members here , there are indeed people in this forum that I think really mean well and I really respect them for being true to themselves and hindi pa-cute. But to the others they are here to make TF as an opportunity to show off what they've got and trying to make people to get envious at them. Isn't it pathetic. Yung mga pa cute, cute diyan. But again not all and I think you know what I mean. You are doing well DCAT. You are a gentleman or perhaps a lady. See you around DCAt.
