Your influence will go on for generations and you are the result of
generations of your lineage.

Christian Herald magazine reported on 1,299 descendants of Max Jutes-a no
good horse thief from the last century.

310 became vagrants
440 lived in poverty
180 became prisoners -including 48 murderers of whom 7 were mass murderers
100 were alcoholics
60 were bank robbers
190 female prostitutes

Contrast this with the family of the great preacher Jonathan Edwards. A
study done by A.E. Winship revealed that of 1,400 descendants,

13 became college presidents
65 were professors
100 were law students (8 deans of law schools)
30 became judges
80 were elected officials
3 were US senators
3 became mayors of large cities
3 were elected as governors
1 was vice president
1 became controller of the US treasury

The lineages of Max Jutes and Jonathan Edwards teach that we are the product
of over 100 years of heritage, and we are passing messages forward a 100
years to our descendants about what their values, attitudes, religions, and
philosophy of life should be.
The decisions that you and I make today, good or bad, will have an effect on
thoughts and actions of our great-grandchildren.

For this reason Moses told the Israelites, "Now this is the commandment, the
statues and the judgments which the Lord your God has commanded me to teach
you....So that you and your son and your grandson might fear the Lord your
God to keep all his statues and his commandments ... that your days may be
prolonged ....that it may go well with you." (Deut 6:1-3)

good day peacemaker, these are very interesting statistics. I wonder how much genetics plays into these numbers? desisyon nga ba natin ang mamanahin ng ating mga magiging anak? or is it possible that genes somehow dictate what we will become? interesting...

I'd been researching and studying my roots...I went to the UN Archives in New York and an institution in Salt Lake, Utah...It's interesting to know where my surname originally come from...Sa mga nabasa ko (I hope it's true), may mga Filipino na may Jewish lineage dahil maraming Jew ang pumunta sa Spain...tapos sinakop tayo ng mga Spaniards...Hot topic ang Filipino Diaspora na basehan ang Jewish Diapora....Iniisip ko pa kung paano ang ugnayan dito :)
