There are a bunch of crazy theories on all sorts of subjects from advanced ancient civilizations, Bermuda Triangle, Hollow Earth, pyramid builders, to UFOs, but none of these are more related to Japan than the one which says, "Israelites Came To Ancient Japan (http://www5.ocn.ne.jp/~magi9/isracame.htm)" by a certain Arimasa Kubo.
"The Ten Lost Tribes of Israel are the ancient Tribes of Israel that disappear from the Biblical account after the Kingdom of Israel was totally destroyed, enslaved and exiled by ancient Assyria." According to Kubo, a great number of the local ceremonies testify that the Israelites arrived in ancient times (via the Silk Road) and settled here in Japan! :eek: He says Shinto (神道) bears strikingly pronounced features of Judaism:

Lay-out of Jinja : Lay-out of tabernacle
