Hello Timog Forum members, we have some announcements:

1. Recently, some members have been sending us emails asking for their passwords. Please note that user passwords are shielded and we have no means to view them. If you forget your passwords, you can retrieve them by going to the frontpage and clicking on the appropriate link (going to http://www.timog.com/forum/login.php?do=lostpw) on the log-in module. The passwords will be sent to your email address (that's why it's good to have your email addresses updated periodically).

2. When sending us requests to edit or to delete a post, always click on the http://www.timog.com/forum/images/buttons/report.gif icon of a post and "report it". Please don't send us emails or private messages saying "Please delete the #th post on the thread about this or that topic." Sifting through all the 50 to 200 posts that Timog Forum gets everyday is simply impossible. We're sorry but we will not entertain requests made without doing the proper procedure.

3. Also recently, off-topic comments have been cropping up in threads all over the Forum. As we remind people time and again, off-topic comments should be avoided in the forums. They are especially prohibited in threads in the Commnity Forums. We will start giving warnings to people who make off-topic comments.

4. There have also been issues regarding sexually explicit posts in Timog Forum lately. Here is the rule: Sexually explicit (or suggestive) posts will be confined to the Love and Romance forum. (Threads in this area will not be shown on the frontpage nor on the Recent Threads column.) Exceptions are made for posts that need to have explicit content to be discussed seriously and productively.

We take pains to make this forum useful (and open) for all members and we request everyone's cooperation in return. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

Nick, thanks for this message. This is a very well crafted message that can be done only by someone who's a real genius. More power!

Understood. :)

Thanks Nick for another sound and levelheaded judgement towards the issues that arose in this forum. You do a phenomenal job in keeping this online community informative, helpful and fun without alienating members who have different perspectives regarding sensitive subjects. Not being too liberal and not being too conservative is what makes this forum an exceptional one. Again, rationality prevails. :thumb:

I'd like to remind everyone about this post by nick, especially regarding items 2 and 3.

Use the report buttonhttp://www.timog.com/forum/images/buttons/report.gif

Please refrain from sending us private messages or e-mails. If for example you wish to delete a post or close a thread, please use the report button and justify your request. Take note however, that requesting something does not guarantee that it will be granted. We check reports and decide what needs to be done, so let's be responsible and think about our readers when posting messages, specially those containing pictures. (See related thread (http://www.timog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=967 8))

Stay on topic

“Hijacking” a thread not only messes it up, it's also rude. Please respect the thread's topic and give consideration to the thread owner and other posters or readers. Even if a thread is located under Timog Offtopic (http://www.timog.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4 2) (such as Religion & Inspiration) it does not mean that we are allowed to post there whatever we want because, after all there is still a topic. Kung maaari, gumawa na lang po sana tayo ng panibagong thread, imbes na manggulo ng thread ng iba.

Thank you and good evening. :)
