Good pm po sa lahat ng readers.
Tanong ko lang po kung anong dapatin gawin at pano makakakuha ng license for translator?
English to Japanese or Japanese to English.
Meron bang school para dun or test?
Kung sino naman nakakuha na or may alam,
Magpapaturo sana ako.
Salamat po.

good evening lab_u_babes!
i dont have idea specifically how to get license for translator but as far as i know in order for u to be qualified as a translator, one of the requirement is to pass the JLPT - Japanese proficiency language test. may 4 na level for that exam. the exam contain 3type which is writing/vocabulary; listening test; reading/grammar.
LEVEL 1 or 1kyuu - the examinee should master grammar to high level, know/memorize 2,000 kanji; 10,000 words.
LEVEL 2 or 2kyuu - master grammar to relatively high level, 1,000kanji; 6,000 words.
LEVEL 3 or 3kyuu - master grammar to limited level, 300 kanji; 1,500 words.
LEVEL 4 or 4kyuu - master basic grammar, 100 kanji; 800 words.
every 1st sunday of december ang exam all over the world. usually around september ang deadline ng application. u can buy the application form in any bookstore in japan. u can also call up japanese embassy for further information.
Hindi ko alam ang tungkol sa license, pero merong qualifying exam na 翻訳技能認定試験 (http://www.jta-net.or.jp/jta-10.html) (a.k.a 翻訳検定) at meron ding 翻訳実務検定 (http://www.tqe.jp/) o Translator Qualifying Examination (TQE). Siguro may iba pa depende sa type ng itatranslate (e.g. legal, medical, technical etc.).

There are lots of type of translator license depending on the field. Check the following link if there is that applies to you. Good luck to your quest. I have a level 1 in JLPT but, don't need to get a license as a translator. Maybe when I shift to a related field.
