Network Etiquettes
When communicating with others on the Internet, observe the following commonsense net-etiquettes. These etiquettes should be observed whether you are writing an email message, participating in a chat session, or posting a message on the Bulletin Board.
-Spell-check your message before sending or before posting on the Bulletin Board.
-Be POLITE in your email message or other postings; apply the same general rule of politeness you would if you were talking to a person on his or her face.
-Make sure YOU make yourself look good while communicating in cyberspace.
-Do not write in all CAPS. Using all uppercase letters appears as a sender shouting at the recipient. Some words in uppercase letters may be used for emphasis.
-Sign (Write) your name or handle when an email message is sent.
-Be discrete with use of emoticons; use of excessive number of emoticons is very distracting.
-Avoid criticism and sarcasm.
-No flaming or spamming.
