Download videos from your favorite video sites

I ve noticed that most TF members visit online Video sites. There are lots of them (vid sites) out there and Youtube seems to be the darling here (at TF). :)

Maybe some here know this already, but for those who dont.
Here are some tips on how to download those videos you like to your machine.
Some here might ask, why would i bother download when i can access it anytime over the net? hmm, I dont know, maybe to add to your collection or copy to your PDA or something ?! Try it first and maybe you'll come up with or think of somethin to do with them videos .. :D

Anyway, here goes.
For Mozilla-Firefox users access here Videodownloader (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/).
-- an add-on to your browser.
-- better have your firefox updated to the latest version (1.5?) to make the add-on work properly.
For Non-FireFox users, access this site Javimoya (http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php)
-- copy-paste the url of the video you want.

Youre welcome, glad na makakatulong sa iyo iyan. Makuha mo na ngayon ang mga naupload mo anytime. Kung sakaling mag karoon ka ng trouble sa pagkuha ng videos mo regarding file types, extension etc. post them here baka makatulong.. :)

Apologies i forgot to write sa original post na ang file type na madownload ay .flv file. Kelangan mo ng video player na pupuedeng maiplay ang flv file isa na dyan ang FLV player.

Nabasa ko itong post mo at naisip ko na baka nga "nuked" or meron nagsadyang maglagay ng virus, spyware or malware sa mga link na binigay ko sa iyo. Kaya sinubukan ko ulit mag access sa site ng Javimoya at flv dowload site. Pero wala namang message na lumabas sa akin. Meron nakainstall akong Norton Internet Security at Virus Buster pero wala naman naging problema at nakapag reinstall ako ng FLV. Kung mabigay mo pa ang ibang detalye sa mga messages na lumalabas a machine mo, ipost mo lamang baka makatulong.

Hindi ko yata naintindihan ang tanong mo dito. Lalo na itong part na ito "pag xp divided siya sa mga network". Siguro ang tinutukoy mo ay yung pagkakaroon ng iba ibang users sa windows xp ?! Pupuede naman na parehas naka install sa same machine ang mozilla at ang internet explorer kapag lumabas nga lamang ung message na "Set as default browser" or something gaya nyan huwag mo na lamang iset as default browser ang mozilla.

Additional, after na madownload ang FLV file sa machine mo at ayaw mong gumamit ng FLV player or vlc player, pupuede mo itong iconvert sa avi at mpg file using this freeware.
RIVA-flv encoder (http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t259578). Andyan na rin ang step-by-step na paggamit. am using it and works great. ;)

Yes, however, Youtube seems to have been able to go around the law by publishing a lot of copyrighted videos on their site. On the other hand, some music publishing companies (ex. BMG Music) have actually stepped in and asked youtube to remove copyrighted materials. You will notice this when, for example, you do a search for Kanye West. You will not find a full music video (not videotaped at some concert by a fan) by Kanye West because BMG asked for all of it to be deleted from youtube (there is even a sign on top of the screen which says so). Sooner or later, the other publishing companies will follow suit and request youtube to remove any copyrighted materials from their site. This is reminiscent of the Napster era.

Music videos are copyrighted materials indeed. And so as many other types of videos uploaded to YouTube everyday ranging from TV Shows, Movie clips and the likes.
Eversince YouTube became online last Feb, 2005, they claim that to support sharing of "original" videos over the internet is their main purpose. However, in the past year Youtube has become host to pirated and copyrighted materials.

The site is actually playing dumb on the idea of them taking the intiative in cleaning up the site and deleting copyrighted materials. Instead they put up how-to 's regarding ways to report uploaded copyrighted-materials. They come short of declaring that they would'nt do anything unless someone or some organization makes a claim regarding copyright infringement. To quote from their "Copyright Tips" page. Anytime we become aware that a video or any part of a video on our site infringes the copyrights of a third party, we will take it down from the site. We are required to do so by law. If you believe that a video on the site infringes your copyright, send us a copyright notice and we will take it down.

Regarding download of videos from the site, I personally think that there wouldnt be any problem as long as we do it for personal use. Meaning we MUST NOT make multiple copies, make broadcast of this materials without getting consent from the copyright owner.

Because of the recent noise created by the copyright issue thingy, YouTube came up with some steps to control or address the issue. Here is a recent blog announcement from them. Mas mainam sana kung may maisuggest ako sayo na video codec or something for Windows media player(WMP) para ma-play mo ang .flv file na nadownload mo sa WMP mismo pero wala akong alam sa ngayon.
Kaya kailangan mong iconvert ang file to .avi or .mpg. Medyo dagdag abala.

Ang detalye ng conversion nito ay nandito sa thread sa post #6. Subukan mo na lamang. Good Luck !

Could be dahil sa installed security software sa machine mo, Posibleng sobrang higpit ng security level na nakaset dito. Mabuti at gumana naman pala ang Firefox.

There are still some security softwares that are not as "smart" as the others. Minsan ay naipagkakamali nila ang mga legal application as being malware or spyware or even virus.
Warning lamang naman iyan kaya pupuede mong i-ignore na lamang pansamantala. I suggest you check on the option setting of the security software you are using.

Oks itong thread na ito... first priority nga iyung security issues. Nasa video sharing na ang trend ngayon. Hobby lang naman... video-editing at production ng mga NGO partnership video. Double strike ng interes - nakakatulong ka na at gumagawa ka pa ng video na hilig mong gawin.

hindi mo pupuede na iupload ng directly ang MSWMM file. Iquote ko sa iyo ang nasa help center ng YouTube

A .MSWMM file is a Windows Movie Maker Project file. By saving the project, it allows you to return to the movie and make modifications at a later time. However, if you're satisfied with the movie and would like to upload and share the result through YouTube, you will need to choose "Save Movie File" under the "File" menu (which is different from "Save Project", which creates the .MSWMM file).
Kaya ang kailangan mong gawin :
1. Buksan ulit sa Windows Movie Maker ang MSWMM file mo
2. From Menu bar Click File --> Save Movie File
3. Select kung saan mo i-save yung video
4. Upload mo na ngayon sa YouTube ung magagawang file sa PC mo.

Marami pang hindi nakalist diyan. Hindi ko na isinama ang iba dahil gaya ng nakasulat sa previous post mo hindi maganda ang contents ng ilang video sites at karamihan ay "nuked" (maraming palaman na spyware, malware at virus)
Regarding sa 100% Pinoy video site. Wala pa akong nababalita na ganyan sa ngayon. Meron akong nahanap na isang site that claims na Philippine Video Online Database at ang domain ay .ph, pero walang portion na kung saan nakasulat ang tungkol sa company nila kaya nakakaduda so I would rather not post the link here. (ayashii)

Maraming member sa YouTube na naguupload ng nga video mula sa atin at baka nga mainvade na nila ang site na iyon. :D

Apologies i forgot to write sa original post na ang file type na madownload ay .flv file. Kelangan mo ng video player na pupuedeng maiplay ang flv file isa na dyan ang FLV player.

Nabasa ko itong post mo at naisip ko na baka nga "nuked" or meron nagsadyang maglagay ng virus, spyware or malware sa mga link na binigay ko sa iyo. Kaya sinubukan ko ulit mag access sa site ng Javimoya at flv dowload site. Pero wala namang message na lumabas sa akin. Meron nakainstall akong Norton Internet Security at Virus Buster pero wala naman naging problema at nakapag reinstall ako ng FLV. Kung mabigay mo pa ang ibang detalye sa mga messages na lumalabas a machine mo, ipost mo lamang baka makatulong.

Hindi ko yata naintindihan ang tanong mo dito. Lalo na itong part na ito "pag xp divided siya sa mga network". Siguro ang tinutukoy mo ay yung pagkakaroon ng iba ibang users sa windows xp ?! Pupuede naman na parehas naka install sa same machine ang mozilla at ang internet explorer kapag lumabas nga lamang ung message na "Set as default browser" or something gaya nyan huwag mo na lamang iset as default browser ang mozilla.

Additional, after na madownload ang FLV file sa machine mo at ayaw mong gumamit ng FLV player or vlc player, pupuede mo itong iconvert sa avi at mpg file using this freeware.

Wala naman problema pagdating sa virus at hanggang ngayon ay gamit ko pa rin. ;)

Sundin mo muna ang mga instructions available sa thread na ito para madownload ang mga videos na gusto mo from youtube.
Matapos yan kailangan mong i convert ang video na nakuha mo sa format na makikilala ng PSP mo. Maaari mong gamitin ang ilang mga tools available sa internet na nakasulat sa ibang mga posts sa thread na ito. Isa sa mga mainam na tool para dyan ay ang Xilisoft (http://www.xilisoft.com).
