AFTER five days of screening “The Da Vinci Code,” movie houses in Manila yesterday stopped showing the controversial film.

The city government had earlier threatened to shut down theaters featuring the film, which is based on the best-selling novel of author Dan Brown.

I watched the movie last night... for amusement mainly. And if I'm to rate it, hmmmm.... 3 stars. The dialogues were delivered with less emphasis. And sad to say, Tom Hanks did not give enough justice to Langdon's personality. Still a good watch nonetheless, but to be honest I expected more....:)

I`m not sure if it wont be allowed..but I know that it was R-18 and SM cinemas will not show films with R-18..but ok na din yun..coz, I`ve seen the movie, it sucks! walang wala! parang walang tuyo at paminta..

Balita ko rin hindi yata sya (Da vinci code) showing sa Manila and Cebu... samin sa Davao 2 malls lang sya showing and R18...May 18 nag premiere, no comment muna ako sa nabasa ko sa libro, pero papanoorin ko talaga sya kahit ano mangyari hehehe....

I heard about that issue nga, may mga Umaapila para hindi maipalabas yang Da Vinci Code.., sana lang maliwagan ang isip nila na kahit against pa sa Simbahan yang koto o hanashi sa nilalaman nung MOvie eh nasa taong manonood naman yan...pwedeng maCurious tayo pero ang FAITH nasa puso naten yan at hindi basta basta mawawala ang paniniwalang ito ng dahil sa isang movie lang.

the movie was shown here in the philippines.... & it was a real hit! ako, i watched the movie, read the book (as well as Angels & Demons) but my faith was not shatterred. it depends on how our disposition & i guess the foundation of our faith...

actually, some of the priest i talked with prefers the movie to be shown & let the public decide how they see it. kasi nga naman, it's human nature na pag binabawalan mo, lalo nagiging pursigido. nasa tao na yun if they can't distinguish which ones are fiction and which are not...
