I've just installed and played a bit on windows vista beta2 version. GUI is nice, better support on my VGA compared to WinXP experience. Everything works, except my soundcard.

Here's my test machine:

-P4 2.6 Ghz (socket 478) codename prescott
-1GB X 2 DDR400 PC3200 RAM
-160GB ATA100
-Radeon9600/ 128MB Dual VGA
-Creative Live! 5.1 soundcard

accesories:
-wacom pad - very well supported. Very smooth & accurate

-AVG anti-virus is not compatible

I am not using dual boot nga pala. OS is installed on separate HD.

Hi. Nasubukan ko na rin ang Vista Beta 2. Installed it on my travelmate. :weep:

Get the Vista look, but beware of hairy install.

If you're just dying for the Vista look, and have the courage to deal with a scary installation, grab a copy of Vista Transformation Pack 6. It makes XP look, feel, and to some extent, act like Vista using icons, themes, a docking bar, and a new clock. It uninstalls like any other application, but make sure to set a Restore Point just in case.

Version 5.5 is available at PC WOLRD.com (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,64389/description.html?tk= nl_hsxdwn) while V6.0 is hosted at JCXP.net (http://www.jcxp.net/forums/index.php?showtopic= 13415)

Remember to back-up, set a restore point before everything else.

Wow! Gusto ko na rin na mag Vista. By the way, ano ba ang merit ng Vista against XP (excluding the nice GUI)?

Hello guy26,

It is not the vista you are installing but the software that makes your XP looks and feel like Vista itself.

If you have the guts, try it with precaution.

This is really true, IT. Napatawa ako dito.:D

Wanna try the transformation pack? Alam ko you have already tweaked your XP, hehehe.

Just finish installing the trasformation pack 6 on my pc. The graphics are nice, the sidebar plus the gadgets you can install. Love the glass effect, even my other programs change it's looks.

However, recommend that you must have at least a minimum of 512MB RAM for this program uses to much memory.

The only glitch I found is that my Command & Conquer PC Game crashes, even my MS Office 2003 and Visio 2003 ask for their installation CD. Still need to play more and find what other programs got affected. But, aside from this everything is running smoothly. Will keep you posted... :D:D:D

Run the VISTA upgrade advisor and my computer passed for upgrade, kaya lang sa NERO at ZoneAlarm Antivirus ko medyo conflict!

The Vista look is really refreshing to the eye especially when you love eye candy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_candy).

Kung medyo sawa ka na sa dull and simple sytle ng iyong desktop at pasado ang pc mo sa requirements, this pack is highly recommended. You can even uninstall the program later.

I didn't encounter any more problem with this program in my pc except for my Command and Conquer PC Game it still crashes on me especially in the middle of the game. Still working on the bugs... guess I'll play Kohan II "Kings of War" in the meantime.

Like crispee is saying, the graphics and sounds are really nice although the downside is kailangan malakas ang specs ng pc mo lalo na ang memory which nagdagdag ako ng additional 512MB.

Here are the specs of my PC:

Pentium 4/ Intel 2.66GHz
1024GB RAM
120GB Hard Disk
DVD R/RW Drive
CD R/RW Drive
Zip Drive 250MB
ATI All In Wonder 128 Pro (128MB)

lisa143 bakit hindi mo subukang gumamit ng Roxio instead of Nero maganda siyang program to burn your cd and dvd. :D:D:D

Ako kasi tatlong programs ang gamit ko for CD and DVD burning, Clone CD/ Clone DVD, Nero at Roxio 7
