Download Google Earth (http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html) and view the Philippines from the sky.
I felt like I was on the plane as I view Manila. With a lot of patience, I was able to locate a lot of memorable places like Megamall, Robinson Galleria and even our house in Marikina.
I think this is one good experience for those who feel homesick.;)

Google Earth is ok but try the NASA World Wind too. If you got a very nice video card and a relatively fast internet connection both of these programs will work very well and it seems your looking earth as if you're viewing it thru a space shuttle outside the space with a power to zoom down in a given location. ;)

i have this two, installed to my computer, pero para sa akin mas OK ang Google Earth kasi mas kita mo kahit mga sasakyan:), yun nga lang may part siyang blurd.

Yes, one of google's many banner products (check out Google Labs (http://labs.google.com/)for more very good application all available free of charge). However, you cannot view or zoom in to every/all provinces or locations in the philippines. The places you can zoom in to were randomly selected areas in the country. Major portions of Manila can be viewed though. ;)

@reon

I looked at Fuji-san as you recommended. Bakit sa paningin ko, parang pumuputok? Kinabahan tuloy ako. She looks gigantic, even from above. So beautiful and yet so scary.:eek:

Na-u-update ba every time itong Google Earth?, I mean everytime ba na magsearch ay may changes na makikita sa place, example, movement ng sasakyan. kasi yung place namin, bakit parehas pa rin yung kinalalagyan nung sasakyan na nasa kalsada? ( i compared sa search ko last Monday tapos yung sa ngayon ay parehas pa rin) thanks sa paglilinaw.

Hindi nga up-dated ang mga shots. If I'm not mistaken, the view that we can see right now was taken last January. I THINK, yearly ang changes. But if you buy and install the software, mas makakakuha ka SIGURO ng latest shots.:D

Summer san, I'm glad that you are enjoying the view the way I do. It is fun way to kill time. Kaya lang minsan, masakit sa mata. About NK, if you look at it from above, parang ang linis-linis ng paligid, no dark smoke/clouds around. :D

Kasi malinaw ang dating as you've said na walang clouds to interfere. I am wondering makikita kaya yung site ng launching ng misaeru? heheheh. Happy navigating!
